Owners should think about neighboring campers who have to listen to it. I’m speaking from experience and I should’ve reported it because it was 9 hours of continuous barking. Air conditioning, radios and favorite toys don’t make a difference. Don’t do it.Re: Simple RVing recipes1# ground beef (browned with chopped onion at home). Combine with 2 boxes macaroni & cheese made at campsite. Thin 2 Tblsp honey with a tsp or so lemon juice and add a shake of poppy seeds. Cut up 1 apple, 1 banana, 1 pear, 1 orange. Toss with honey dressing and enjoy. Use whatever fruit combination you have but always include an orange.Granola made in crockpotSpray a crockpot. In large bowl mix 5 cups old fashioned oatmeal 1/2 cup honey 1/4 cup cooking oil 1 tsp. Cinnamon 2 tsp. Vanilla 1/8 tsp salt 1 cup unsweetened coconut (can be added about halfway) Cook on low at least 5 hours & stir occasionally. Lid must be tilted or it will be a limp soggy mess. I prop it open with a folded towel. Add nuts, dried fruit, flax, chia when done, if desired. I cook about 6 hours because I like it darker.Comments people makeOur A Liner gets some attention from other campers. Usually I offer to let them look inside & they’re surprised how much room we actually have - but I keep it minimal so it looks neater that way. Often they say “how do you like that LITTLE camper” ? I’m tempted to say “how do you like your HUGE camper” ? One guy asked if it LEAKS. He caught me off guard with that one but if someone asks that again, I’m going to say “No, does yours” ?Re: Food! Our grandsons had the confidence to cook when they went to college since their parents taught them. Nothing fancy, just good & filling food. One worked at a truck stop where he could buy all kinds of things to eat but always brought leftovers from home to heat up. People he worked with said “it smells good, you know how to cook ?” Its so important to learn.Re: Camping experiences bpounds wrote: I read that multiple times and cannot see how you think the sheriff never showed up. Perps were removed. By who is not stated, but maybe the sheriff provided motivation? Anyway, seems like the OP handled it all very properly. To clarify - sheriff came, even ran siren for a bit as he approached, presumably to get their attention. He moved them along.Camping experiences3 days at one of our favorite places. Arrived at 2 but check in is 4. Never been an issue but there was a tent on our spot so we killed time for 1.5 hours. They had packed up, but not loaded & ready to leave yet. We drove by & I could see there was fighting between them. We found a place to wait & 4:15 we talked to office. He said they’ve been reported for disturbance during night & sheriff’s coming. They were removed & I heard they’ll not be allowed back since it’s not first time. Now I’m hoping they don’t show up & make trouble for us. Caretakers were called in to clean up garbage they left. I asked if they would wash up the aluminum picnic table & they scoured it up good. Made me feel better. Next day I went to restroom & when I closed stall door, one hinge broke & door came down on me so I’m alone & trying to lean it on a wall, then 2nd hinge broke so I could at least set it aside. These are almost new partitions but hinges appeared to be ....plastic.Re: recipesPork Chops & Gravy Brown 2 bone-in Pork chops Place in oven dish & add sliced onions In small bowl combine1 can cream of chicken soup with a good squeeze of ketchup (about a small 1/4 cup) and about 2 Tblsp Worcestershire sauce.
