Thanks guys and gals.Re: Will this generator run what I want?https://m.costco.ca/Champion-2000W-Recreational-Inverter-Generator.product.100054909.html Found a good deal I think. Remember this is CDN dollars. 450 usd it works out to, so same price, but I can get locally. Is that the same one?Re: Will this generator run what I want? 2oldman wrote: vesh1717 wrote: Sorry...the one I posted is listed at 63 db. That's pretty quiet isn't it? As said, no. db readings don't always tell the full story of a generator's loudness. The kind of rattle-clatter that kind of generator makes carries for long distances. There's one about a thousand feet from me and I can easily hear it. All these kinds of gens run at full bore, all the time. Inverter gens don't do that. Ok thanks. We can stop now. I know the power I need anyway.Re: Will this generator run what I want?Sorry...the one I posted is listed at 63 db. They are generally a bit lighter, definitely quieter and some put out more power. I think you will want a 2k Watt generator. Shop around a bit and you will find something a bit better all the way around for a little bit more money. Can you give me an example please? Keep in mind I don't want to spend a lot. ThanksRe: Will this generator run what I want? 2oldman wrote: This is a 4-star review on Amazon: The only reason I did not give this 5 stars is because of the engine noise levels. If I'm out camping where no one is around me, it's just fine...a couple weeks ago though, I was at a BLM campground, ran the generator for about an hour to charge my batteries, and I actually got applause from a tent site, about 25 yards away, when I shut it down You should read a few of these before making up your mind. Hmm...well, two things that may help. I have a shed that I can put it in...door open obv...not sure if that would help. Second. There's literally no one there when I go before the power is on lol. I live in Northern Ontario, so it's a tad early for most. I saw that review.Re: Will this generator run what I want? For those speaking about noise level,I believe this one is 65db at 23 feet. So it's not overly loud. I wouldn't have it on at night unless I absolutely had to. But it sounds like this is a go then? Will this generator run what I want?https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B00T7VT450/ref=cm_cr_arp_mb_bdcrb_top?ie=UTF8 Yes, I understand it is not ideal, but I'm on a budget. Just hear me out. I have power at my site starting in mid may, but we like to go out earlier to enjoy some spring camping. So this generator would be needed for a few weekends a year, and that's it. That's why I why I want to keep it cheap. Here's what I'm thinking. Don't need it to run AC, and I know I would need way bigger. Will run fridge off propane. So that eliminates those power draws. So, basically I want it to run the blower for the furnace if needed (will use the battery overnight). All I'll need it for is charging the battery (2 amps?), and potentially running the toaster, maybe microwave if I'm lucky. Yes, not at the same time,I know. Worst case scenario,I fire up the generator at night cause the battery dies....at that point it'll need to be charging the battery and running furnace fan. Am I dreaming, or is this doable?Re: How is this price? CANADIAN DOLLAR SoundGuy wrote: vesh1717 wrote: I'm assuming they are original. No need to assume, no need to trust what the seller is telling you, just check the Tire Date Code imprinted on the tire sidewall. ;) Yes, I'll do that. Next time I check it out. Bottom line is decent deal, but negotiate down a bit due to tires. Maybe 16/17? Thanks guys.Re: How is this price? He said he got it checked fully as well at that time as it still has warranty. Tires are original. As for wdh, I planned to ask for that of course. Warranty on what? This trailer would have had a 1 or at most 2 year factory warranty that's long run out and wouldn't apply to a second owner anyway. Since the tires are original all 5 need to be replaced regardless of how "good" they may look so I'd suggest you price before you go any further with this so you know what you're dealing with. He has a warranty so he was checking for any issues. I know warranties are non transferable. As for the tires,I actually didn't ask cause I was just in initial interest stage, but now I'm more seriously checking things out. I'm assuming they are original.
