This is how I rewired our trailer. My understanding is that by adding the small jumper in one of the last diagrams, you will have satellite in both locations (just as you did with cable as the signal goes around the amplifier). You will have to watch the same thing on both tvs though. Hope this might be of help. Satellite wiringRe: Arctic Fox 27T solar ready, what does this mean exactly? On our Nash, also made by Northwood, solar ready meant that there were wires that ran from the roof to a panel above the stereo. From there, another set ran to the batteries. All we had to do was put in a charge controller and slap on a solar panel.Re: Starting RVing with a PUP behind a minivan - thoughts?Have you thought about something like this? Jayco Trailer Good luck with your search and have a wonderful trip! This would eliminate the need for all the tents and make set up and tear down of camp so much easierRe: Kayak rack questionCan't help you with the first question, but as for the second... We usually carried ours with the holes down. That way, if it rained we didn't end up with kayaks full of water. Other times, holes up because they were easier to load that way.Re: Do the trailer outlets run off the batteries? My Respironics machine draws 2.5 amps without the humidifier and 4 amps with the humidifier on. It draws my two 6 volt batteries down a to 60/70% overnight depending on how long I sleep. I like to sleep!! I tried using a cheap inverter (before reading all the warnings about doing so) and the noisy fan on the inverter kept waking me up. I bought the cigarette plug adapter ($75 I think) and put in a plug for it right beside the bed. I ran a new set of wires to the plug straight from the fuse panel. I had to do a bit of fishing to get the wire to where I needed it. I also have a battery box with a cigarette plug on it that I can use in an emergency at home. Works just fine for a night or two.Re: Hwy 16 is closed east of Topley and Burns LakeHere's a little more info. China Nose fire An alternate detour route has been established via Highway 16: Travelling East from Houston: Morice River Forest Service Road for 54 kms, left onto Owen East Forest Service Road (FSR) to Colleymount Road, onto Highway 35 to Burns Lake. Travelling West from Burns Lake South on Highway 35 for 23 kms to Colleymount Road for 56 kms to Owen East (FSR), Right on Morice River FSR, to Hwy 16. Houston. This alternate route is 150 kms. in total, 120 kms is gravel. Watch for Traffic control Stations for directions. Single direction traffic is being piloted using a pilot car from Noralee Resort, Colleymount Road, to the junction of the Owen East FSR/Morice River FSR. Two way traffic is occurring on the rest of the detour route. Restrictions are in place for permitted over width, overweight & over length load vehicles only. Further information regarding road closures can be found by visiting: www.drivebc.caRe: Hwy 16 is closed east of Topley and Burns Lake joe b. wrote: That fire closure is going to disrupt some travel, in that part of BC. However, the detour they are showing should be very scenic, as it appears to run along the north side of Fraser Lake for many KMs/miles. Any campgrounds in that area that can be recommended by anyone. One of my favorite CGs is in Houston, the Shady Rest, reasonable in cost, squeaky clean, great flower beds from their green house on site and well managed. The Fraser Lake area is not involved. They have a free campsite at the lake for a few units though.Re: Running engine when stoppedAround our province, we have all sorts of "No idling" rules. If you're running out of juice, maybe another battery is needed. You should be able to run overnight on a single battery. Have you changed your bulbs to LEDs? That makes a big difference.Re: Oops! Brakes on for 24 Hours!Been there, done that a couple of times. Killed both batteries each time. Brakes still work fine.Re: battery gaugeThe gauge has failed?
