Looking for an inexpensive cabin to rent for a night (maybe under $60.00). Any ideas where I should spend the night? Traveling tomorrow, 5-28-14.How can I travel without making reservationsI am new to camping. I have a 22 foot trailer and plan to tour the western U.S. I would like to be spontaneous, so I have not made reservations at any campgrounds. I am now worried about getting a camping spot in the more popular areas (Yellowstone, Glacier, Grand Canyon). I want to be in the Yellowstone area in early Sept and Grand Canyon in Oct. I am reading that reservations are recommended (is it too late?) and generators are not allowed at the first come, first served campgrounds (my battery will only last one night). HOW DO YOU DO IT???Trailer clearanceI have a 2011 Coachman Catalina 22FB. The black/gray water dump valve has between and 5 and 6 inches of ground clearance. This seems really low compared to other campers. Is this low clearance going to cause problems when I go out west (especially in the National/State parks)?Re: Tow Vehicle Making me SeasickYes, I am near Janesville! Thanks for all the help! I will try some of these ideas when I get the camper out of storage.Re: Who's planning for 2014 vacations?I retire in April and have plans to take a long trip with my wife. We bought our first camper (22 foot TT) a couple of months ago. We want to leave in May and head west. I want to hit all the states west of the Mississippi. I have no reservations and no timeline. I want to see some of the popular national parks, but otherwise I'm flexible! Any ideas?? RickTow Vehicle Making me SeasickI am new to this - just bought my first TT. I have a 2011 22 foot Coachman and a 2012 F-150. I use the Equalizer hitch. On my first trip I had very bad bounce while traveling on concrete roads (I was fine on blacktop). I tried towing with and without water and it was the same. The trailer and truck looked level while parked on the street and the sway bars looked horizontal. Any ideas to make for a better ride? I am heading out west in the spring and want an enjoyable trip! Thanks, Rick
