Lately I have noticed when the furnace is getting ready to start blowing there is a "scream like" sound that occurs for about 10-20 seconds The fans blow and it heats well. Just don't know what to do about the sound. Must mean something but have no idea where to start looking for the problem. Propane levels are full. Would appreciate any help that's out there. Ready for summer!repairing shattered windowWhile living in our tt full time (tires off, skirt, septic, etc) one of the sliding windows above the couch shattered. Pretty sure it was due to bad navigation of a bird! Its a 2000 Fletwood Terry. What are my options for reparing this? Do I have to replace the entire window, even the side that isn't broke?Re: smoking converterIt was the converter AND the lack of a battery just like so many posts suggested. We took the old one in, got a replacement and a new battery and the lights and the air conditioner are both working great! The lights are actually brighter than ever :)Re: smoking converterThank you! This helps so muchRe: smoking converterSorry, I did read your entire post. Just confusing as to why everything has worked up to now without a battery. Am I understanding correctly that the converter is necessary with or without a battery? Forgive me ... I'm one of those blondes that needs help!Re: smoking converterWe have no intention of towing trailer. Just living in it. We have electricity plugged in at all times. Worried the Air conditioner may be damaged due to the cause of damage to the converter (still don't know what happened to cause it). But strange if it's just a damaged AC then why don't the overhead lights work? All of the rest of the electric outlets are working fine.Re: smoking converterThis is crazy, but we never could find a battery anywhere in the RV. We had planned on just plugging in and living in it while we build. So didn't worry too much about itRe: smoking converterThe converter.smoking converterThe breakers in our 2000 Fleetwood Terry blew the other night after we heard a buzzing sound and saw the lights flickering. Turns out the converter shorted out (we saw smoke). Once we unplugged it the breakers stayed on. Have power to everything but the overhead lights and A/C. Do you need the converter for these to work? We are always plugged in. This is a new adventure for us. Please help!
