All ActivityMost RecentMost LikesSolutionsRe: Toilet usageI don't travel with water in my fresh tank. Only reason I don't is to save weight. I will fill my tank up when I get to where I am going. Almost all gas stations have a water connection. I keep 2 gallon jugs full of water in the bathroom for the stops on the side of the road.Re: Residential refrigeratorI have a resi fridge in my TT and it works very nicely. I agree with JFNM if your going to have lots of hookups and power then a resi fridge will be fine. I personally don't boon dock any so a resi fridge is no problem to me. I go about a month between trips with no power to the TT in between. It usually takes about 4 hours for the fridge to get to temp. Then usually about 20 hours to lose it's temp and freezer start thawing out.Re: New WDH.Thanks all for the responses. I have decided to purchase the unit above and give it a shot.New WDH.Happy Easter all! I am currently looking to buy a WDH for my new to me TT. I currently do not have a WDH so this is all new to me. I came across this hitch but it doesn't have the traditional chains going to the TT. Is this a sufficient hitch. The tongue weight and the gross weight of my TT is under the weight requirements of this particular hitch, so weight is not an issue. Any help would be appreciated. Link to WDH in questionRe: Freeze Butter?I agree with everyone. I've got 6 sticks in my freezer right now.Re: Need hd tuner for TV Chris Bryant wrote: I would get one of these units which will also let hook up a usb hard drive and act as a DVR. Those would work for you. Worst comes to worst just buy a new tv with the tuner already in it.Re: Silicone baking pansI don't have an oven in my TT but I do use them at my sticks and bricks. I love them. They roll up out of the way and they bake evenly and just as well as a traditional baking pan. I don't see any reason as to why they would not work just as well in an RV.Re: How to accept payment for Travel TrailerI have bought and sold multiple vehicles and recreational items over the years anywhere from $1,000 to $23,000 As with everyone else cash is always best. But if need be I will go to their bank with them and have the bank hand me the cashiers check and then hand them the title while still in the bank. But if you can't do that then cash is the only form.Re: Importing an RV from Europe to the USYou'll spend more time and money trying to get the thing to pass U.S regulations than you would if you just bought one from the U.S.Re: Replacing WallsI am going through this very project in my restoration of my 2002 Dutchmen TT right now. It it's quite a simple process and if you are handy then you will have no problems working this out. Just removed the cabinet so you can get to the entire panel. Rip out the old, replaced insulation, replace needed studs and put the new panel back. No special paneling needed. I just bought what was on the shelf at the local hardware store. I'm going to be painting it all anyways so I'm not concerned about it matching right now.
