I have the B&W from the factory and love it!!Re: What are your yearly registration costs for your truck?2011 F250 costs me $20 year here in Delaware and I can do it onlineRe: Travel Trailer Tow Vehicle camp-n-family wrote: You need to look beyond the tow ratings and consider what you plan on carrying in the truck as well. Any of today’s 1/2 ton trucks has the tow rating to handle the tt you are considering. The payload rating will likely be the limiting factor, not the tow rating. Estimate the weight of everything you plan to carry in the truck plus the loaded tongue weight of the trailer then find the truck that has the payload to carry it all. YEP!!! Don't make the mistake I made and only look at towing capacity numbers. You are likely going to take your family and some gear along on your trips and that is going to effect your payload capacity along with the tongue weight of the camper (usually 10-15% of the camper weight). The 250/2500's will get you the extra payload capacity to take everyone and everything plus make towing a much more pleasant experience. You can you usually find a used one at a good price if you are patient. RichRe: Middle of June weather in YellowstoneAlso heading out there next summer arriving on July 3rd and departing on July 10th so this thread is certainly helpful for me as well.Re: Badlands National ParkThank you all for the suggestions......all really good stuff! Looks like I may have to do some rethinking of the itinerary! Lol, but that is why i asked!!Badlands National ParkHello everyone! New to the forum and to RVing. I have been doing a lot of reading so far and it has been very helpful. My family (myself, wife, 20 yr old son and 18 yr old daughter) are going cross country next summer to spend a week in Yellowstone. On our way out, we are staying three nights in Custer State Park (Legion Lake Campground). My plan is spend our first day doing Mount Rushmore and the surrounding area. Then the second day to make the drive over to Badlands NP for the day. My question is what is the best route (most scenic) to head over to BNP and than what are the best to do's/must see places in BNP. I am the type that loves to get off the beaten path so I hoping that you kind folks may have some suggestions. Thanks in advance for your help!! RichRe: HEY we need a sticky for our TT pics!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!Thanks Barney!!! I appreciate the help and welcome!!Re: Skyline Dr VirginiaGood morning Dave, My only experience on Skyline Drive at this point was on my motorcycle.....but I can tell you that it is beautiful ride. Lots of curves but most aren't too tight. There certainly are some tight turns but I think you will be fine. I tow a 27' TT and on my recent trip to NH, I ran into similar tight turns and I was fine.....and oh by the way it was my first adventure in a 27 footer!!! Take your time, they kind of make you do that anyway with the 35 mph speed limit and all will be well I'm sure! Have a great trip!Re: HEY we need a sticky for our TT pics!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!Alright folks with a little help from my kids I am back and we think we figured this out......here is home away from home before our recent trip to Franconia Notch, NH (absolutely beautiful) .....back to the drawing board!!! GrrrRe: HEY we need a sticky for our TT pics!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!New to the forum so I thought this might be a good place to start......after 35 minutes of trying to figure out how to post a picture, I have decided to wait until the kids get home to help me figure it out!! LOL Technology is cool when it works!! More likely user error...haha Stayed tuned folks I will be back with a picture.
