Things we learned: Depending where you are at in NC, I-77 through Wytheville, VA to Charleston, WV, then over the mountains on I-64 to Lexington was way easier than climbing the mountain at Asheville, NC on I-40. Yes, there are some tolls but grades were lighter and some curves but... Indianapolis, IN to Davenport, IA on I-74 kept us out of the Chicago area and was a nice pull. Don't forget to stop at the Iowa 80 truckstop west of Davenport. I-80 all the way to the north side of Omaha, then north on I-29. I-90 is a pretty boring drive but just picture the movie "Dances with Wolves".Re: slide outI just picture a tire leaking and now all the pressure is on the slideout. I would high;y recommend against it.Re: TV HelpThanks all, some good info here. I will pass this on to him, thanks!Re: TV HelpThanks Jebby, pretty much what I am telling him as it would not be fun at all.TV HelpMy brother is looking for a smaller TT but he wants to be able to tow it with a 2009 Honda Pilot. He found a 21ft at about 3200 lbs and he thinks the Pilot has a tow rating of about 3500 lbs. I have explained GVWR and GCWR to him along with tongue weight for his hitch. I am not sure what his bumper hitch is rated at. It is the AWD version Pilot. I think this may be a bit big for this vehicle. Have any of you used this as a TV that can offer some insight to share with him?Re: Post your tow vehicle pics hereJust upgraded from the '15 to the '19 with the L5P. Re: low points drainI have two sets of low points drains on mine set up just like yours. I don't know about your model but my front set is for the (what I was told) washer/dryer option. When I winterize I open them all but nothing comes out of the front drain set as I do not have the washer/dryer installed so I guess it would support that theory. ???Re: 5th Prep Package ??'s (GM)Thanks all!5th Prep Package ??'s (GM)Upgrading the 2015 Chevy 3500 HD, SRW to a 2019. One of the options of course being the 5th wheel prep or puck system I think it is called? Currently have the two rails and my Reese hitch. If I do the prep on the new TV I will either have to get the Curt hitch that fits the pattern or apparently I can buy adapters for my current hitch. Thoughts on which way I should go? I like the idea of a drop in hitch with no adapters but is the Curt hitch that GM sells as an accessory to the truck just as good? TIA!Re: CB usage?CB sits on the shelf in the garage nowadays. Run my 2 meter HAM radio now. Lots more range and lots more fun when stopped overnight. Download a "repeater book" app for the phone and/or set the unit to scan for them and no issues. Also has APRS so family can see where I am by going to a website and NOAA radio as well. So much better than the old Citizen Band.
