Several of the reviews mentioned letting it air out, so I opened the box and rolled it out in the garage for a couple days. What a chore to get that monster through the door, around the corner, and in the bedroom of the camper. The work has been well rewarded, very comfortable and so far ahead of the mattress that came with the camper.Re: 2018 Navigator 6mpg when towing 8k lb camper EcoboostRound trip from Ky to Gulf Shores a few weeks ago had 8.5 mpg average and I kept it between 60 and 70. (mostly close to 60) Pulling a 7800# 32' trailer behind a 5.0 crew cab F150. I have done as bad as 7.0 average and as good as 9.5 depending on terrain and speed, but speed seems to have the largest effect.Water heater switchGot tired of going outside to turn on the electric water heater so I installed a switch this weekend. Now just have to put a label on it so I don't forget what it is for. Re: Land Between the LakesWe camped in LBL first week of April last year. Temps ranged from 20's to 70's during the week with snow and frozen water on Saturday morning as we packed up to head home. Piney (TN) and Hillman (KY) have lots of activities for kids and adults. If you choose the North end of LBL, Grand Rivers is a nice little town with plenty of shopping and the best pork chop I have ever tasted.Re: Camper mods and thingsfj12ryder is correct, just messing around, that's why I chose ATC. Started to also mention how I like to ignore payload ratings and take as long as I want to at the dump station, but didn't want to put anyone into a tizzy. Lighten up folks, it's almost camping season (at least for those of us with "3 season" campers) Take careCamper mods and thingsAfter adding a great number of LED lights (strobes, rope lights, and a disco ball) and an extremely loud sound system, I keep tripping breakers. I have decided to add an open frame generator to the rear bumper of the camper to carry the new electrical demands. How should I attach the generator ? Directly to the bumper or to a frame mounted hitch? I tried to hit several of the forum hot buttons with my above missive. :B Hope everyone has a fun and safe 2019 camping season, ours starts in about a month when the local campgrounds open.Re: Leveling chocksI used the Camco levelers all last season and really like them. Only problem I have had with them is when I need to level the camper and the DW isn't behind the wheel of the truck. (my bubble level fell off the front of the camper) I used 2x6's the first year but got tired of lugging them around. Tried the leggo blocks for a short time, couple times on campsites with loose gravel they would just scoot.Re: How often do you use/need a 50 amp to 30 amp adapter?Got to use mine on our last camping trip. The 30 breaker kept tripping and the EMS was showing 20 to 21 amps being used when the A/C was on. Switched over to the 50 with my dog bone and no more problems. Reported it at the gate on the way out and they said they would have it checked out.Re: Hoping to get some ideas for durable, cold weather skirtA buddy had a local upholstery shop make a vinyl skirt for his camper. They installed snaps along the sides of the trailer, and the skirt was weighted along the bottom to keep it in place. He was a welder on a gas pipeline and was all over the upper midwest for several winters.Re: Outside water for washing my rig..?We have one of these for connecting an additional hose. https://www.campingworld.com/90-degree-water-faucet
