I found a slightly used 2013 innsbruck 279qbl for about 10k cheeper then the new floorplan we wanted. So after much thought and talk the wife and I have decided to pick it up tommarow (as long as all goes well with my inspection) and spend the next year seeing how much we use it and what we actually need in an rv. If in that time we decide we need bigger, more slides or whatever else i feel I can easly sell this on to upgrade. What yall think.Re: look to buy a trailer and have a few questionsWonderful info on sway control. After much reading i think im going to with my old stile wd hitch and friction sway control. I already have it and have pulled 29bhs sevral times. If I decide that I need more i can always up grade. Now dont get me wrong if I where pulling with lighter shorter trucks I think I would upgrade with out a doubt.Re: look to buy a trailer and have a few questionsAnaro where are you finding your info on sway control? Thay are all based on friction and im havin a hard time finding any good info on whats rated for what. Also just fyi im licensed to drive any thing as per the state of tx so i fully understand hitching and weight distribution. Just a bit more infoon me lol. P.s. if you can find any info on sway control please share it with me I cant seem to find much.Re: look to buy a trailer and have a few questionsThanks for all the replys I was kinda set on the jayco but the puma drives a hard hit. My puma dealer orders his 31dbts's with duel ac's the main ducted and a smaller unit in the front. I realy like the idea of 2 ac's as we rent a jflight 29qbh sometimes and in the texas summers the single ac works real hard to try and keep up. Lenr i already have a deasent wd hitch and plan on using it anytime I go any distance. I have also wonderd if it would be worth spending a bit more and going to the aluminium, fiberglass models but I judt don't think is worth it. Also we did think real hard about a 5er but have decided on the tt, because we have 3 kids we adopted just over a year ago and are debating one or two more. With the 5er we would be stuck pulling it with my truck and with the tt we can pull it with eather. Sorry about the long post im just trying to give yall as much info as i can.Re: look to buy a trailer and have a few questionsOk well the wife drives a 05 excurson 4x4 6.0 and i have an 07 f350 4x4 6.0 so pulling it won't be a problem. We have put lot of thought into what floor plan to buy. Im just trying to figure out what brand to buy. We have looked at used and for the money i think new is are best bet. Haste Maker do you feel that all forest river products are made with the same quality or do you feel that you may have gotten a bad apple. What is you new one?look to buy a trailer and have a few questionsThe wife and I are looking to buy a tripple slide quad bunk at the end of the month and I have some questions im hoping yall can help answer. I guess the first and biggist is about brands we know the floor plan we want and it seems that everyone is making it but there sure seems to be a lot of differences in pricing and im just not sure why. We are looking the hardest at a 2014 puma 31 dbts mostly because of the price its 3 to 4 k below the equivlant jfight. So im trying to find out what i should be looking for to justify the price difference. Thanks for any advice you can give the new rv guy.
