Is it the dealers responsibility to correct this before delivery or will I get a wait for warranty claim runaround excuseRe: Cost of accessories new camperThat's a good idea! it does however have connector up front for a portable solar panel you can buy a portable solar panel 100 watt for $149Re: Cost of accessories new camperFound them at Windy NationRe: Cost of accessories new camperThat's my opinion also going to eliminate 1 battery and the extra solar panel I assume you "glue"(existing paneled is glued)another 100 watt panel to the roof and connect in parallel.Recommend a caulking glue and panel source Most inverters handle 200w as well as 100w? Existing panel not too neat Thanks Re: Advice on truck and camper purchaseHas the 8 speed transmission. taking the advice of the(weight police) I am trying to stay under 3190 lbs payload the SS1500 weights 1900 + 200 with accessories dry. Sumo Super Springs (progressive spring rate) 2660 lbs capacity. The tires are are off road 33in look small because of 12in clearance Thanks for the complements That is a Tradesman with near maximum options the sweet spot in value in my opinion decent cloth and plastic interior loaded paid only $39820 after $3000 rebates + tax title etc. Why pay $70000 for a Laramie then take it off road.Cost of accessories new camperI have never purchase a truck camper before do you find these installed prices to be average and reasonable: 4 Torklift Brackets W/4 Happijac Turnbuckles & Chain includes Qwik Release Handles ($150.00) N/C $1,095.00 Torklift Expandable 4 Step (GlowStep) $ 328.00 2 Group 24 12V AGM Batteries of average quality $590.00 2nd Solar Panel 100watt $475.00 Thanks in advanceRe: Advice on truck and camper purchaseNo I was ridiculing the want be's on regular dirt roads. The dilemma has resolved itself! I purchased the Ram 2500 with off road package at a big discount yesterday and it is huge. It has the lift and stance of a Power Wagon! top of the cab 80" top the bed 60" wheel diameter 33" 22' feet long ground clearance 12" Much too tall for a hardside camper going to buy a Palomino HS 1500 popup camper 72" tall 450lbs lighter thanks for all of your input and advice Re: Advice on truck and camper purchaseDo popups still have canvas like sides that need to dried out before lowering?Re: Advice on truck and camper purchaseThanks for the advice of course now I am undecided again (for the last two years) Some more info the off road package with all the goodies is only available on the 2500 Series a lot of it is Power Wagon grade. My plan to off set the inboard location and sway and rocking of the large coil springs is to use outboard rear progressive Sumo Super Springs a two pc. model rated 2600lbs with progressive loading replaces bumper stop.Anyone use these or have an option of them? The Bilstien shocks are well rated with progressive staging The height issue non basement Model 750 is 98” tall other hardside campers are 110” to 118” still too tall? Weight wet would be about 2750lbs. Getting a really good deal on both need to decide by 9/9. My opinion of popups more noise more heat more cold more trouble less privacy than a hardside. Agree or disagree? Would buy one if necessary. My mention of Burr Trail and Mogollon Rim was tongue in cheek I have seen rental cars on both.
