It was 30 in the freezer and 50 in fridge. 2 days later I heard the fan come on and a few hours later, temps back to normal. After much research, I discovered the thermostat for the fan is in an area that can be damaged by excessive heat and the one fan is in a location which at best circulates hot air. Plus, to replace this fan, you need to pull the fridge. My fridge is vented by two panels (upper & lower) on the wall of my RV. I found this website, http://www.arprv.com/ that has a product that will shut down the unit if it overheats due to being unlevel and comes with 2 fans to cool the system. Has anyone used this product?Towing without a baseplateHi, I have a 02 Wrangler and want to replace the factory bumper with a steel bumper so I can attach my Blue Ox directly to the bumper. Any suggestions on bumpers? Thanks, AlanRe: Charging chassis battery on SprinterI can boost my chassis battery through the house batteries if needed for starting.I think the battery tender will do the trick when my chassis battery gets low. ThanksCharging chassis battery on SprinterMercedes recommends a special charger to maintain charge on the chassis battery or damage to the electronics can occur. Has anyone used the battery tender JR to maintain their chassis battery during storage?Re: Kwikee Steps 4 way connector testenblethen, You are my new best friend! The locked rotor state was the problem! I knew the problem was caused by low voltage! Thanks, AlanRe: Kwikee Steps 4 way connector testThanks, will check it out!Kwikee Steps 4 way connector testHello, my Kwikee steps will not extend. I have power on the red wire at the 4-way connector but not power on the white wire for the step lockout switch. I do have power to the step lockout switch. The panel in the right front outside compartment shows all fuses “in” for the electric steps. Is there a 6 amp inline fuse I am not finding? This happened once before when I tried to start the genset and the house batteries were so low I had to start engine in order to start generator. The steps stopped working that time but the next day they began working. Same scenario again but steps still not working. The door switch test is good. However I do not have power on the ignition override system (no 12v on yellow with ignition switch on). This is on a 2014 Winnebago VIA. Thanks for any advice!Re: Exceeding the GCWRGood info everyone! My weights are correct! Looks like I will be towing a trailer with my Harley and saying goodbye to the Rubicon! Its all a trade off anyway! I down sized from a 36' Winnebago Voyage. Heck, with the Via, I can park it anywhere and do a 360 in a McDonalds parking lot when necessary! Happy RV'ing!Re: Exceeding the GCWROops Roy, better read my post again! I want to "tow" my Rubicon with my motorhome!Exceeding the GCWRHello, I have the 2014 Via 25Q. Fully loaded with water, fuel and 2 adults, my GVWR is 10,970 lbs. This leaves me with 4,280lbs for my tow, a 2008 Rubicon. If my math is correct, I am over 460 lbs or 3% of my GCWR which is 15,250 lbs. My question is this: Do you go over your GCWR and if so by how much? I have heard that 10% is acceptable but have no experience doing that. Thanks, Alan
