Back in business :) Thanks guysHelp sick Charge WizardHi I am no longer able to manually override charge levels by holding the Charge Wizard mode button down (as per manuals instructions) The status LED is blinking but illuminates only to about half brightness compared to what used to be normal. That status LED is flashing about once per second indicating the output voltage is at the 13.6v Normal mode which I verified to be true. It ignores commands for Boost or Storage mode with no blinking confirmation or change of output voltages. Is the Progressive Dynamics fuse panel w integrated charge wizard bad , or is the main PS4645 converter bad? Has anyone else seen similar? I can replace the integrated CW that is on the OEM fuse panel with the CW pendant but just stabbing in the dark at that point… Any feedback welcome Jeff2007 6.7 ram fuel changeBeen using B5 diesel the life of this truck and last time I went to fuel it up in town my favorite station changed to B20 fuel. I drove all over but everyone is now B20 except an arco and a shell with no labeling on their pumps. Apparently later model trucks are equipped with another filter (water separator?), but I was hoping to hear from others with a similar year dpf equipped truck, and if could provide any tips for when you made the transition from B5 to B20. Flush the tank first? Add the $600 separator kit? Dont worry and continue hauling around the spare filter under my seat? ThanksRe: Help! A/C only works when below 100°Thanks for all the responses. I have tried to follow up on everyones suggestions… other than calling out a tech for an intermittent issue, or just replacing the unit. :) Voltage is above 110v when fan/comp are operating. Current spike is about 4 amps for fan motor then settles at 2ish amps, and spiking about 26 amps for herm comp settling at 14ish amps from what my clamp on can catch. So running about 16.5a in the upper 90°’s here (within factory specs). Fairly clean coils from visual inspection (better than my 4 ton at the house). No ice buildup. I had been looking everywhere for a replacement Positive thermal coefficient resistor (wsx-7) as suggested, but it was out of stock everywhere (dometic called it a motor starter, but said it had been discontinued). I finally found a coleman hard start kit with a capacitor that included the same PTCR wsx-7 replacement I was looking for at a parts house in Reno. It had a cap rated at 43-53 Mfd. vs my original cap that was rated 43-52 MFD, so I didnt swap it out just yet as my current ratings were still ok for now (IIRC, one Mfd higher on replacement specs is not an issue, so I will save it as a backup for now). I swapped out the PTCR and its running normal for now. Now just need a few days over 100° to see if we got this fixed. FWIW I saved the old “thermistor” for further testing if I can find a diagnostic procedure for it…Help! A/C only works when below 100°Hopefully someone can help me diagnose… Cooking here in Lone Pine CA at 105° this afternoon. I know the cycles / behavior of this Dometic Brisk 2 Air conditioning unit (15k btu), so I think can articulate what it should / not be doing. It starts normal operation but I hear the compressor drop out after about 5 minutes. I hear the relay in the module send what I presume is a command to cycle the compressor a few minutes later but nothing happens and it just blows warm air until I shut it off for 15-20 min. Then we can repeat the cycle. Once temps drop below 100° it seems to consistently operate normally (compressor stays engaged), but not totally confident on that yet. Currently the compressor engaging sounds like a much softer start than I remember over the years of operation. I am leaning a capacitor on the edge of failure but would appreciate any other input to verify. I typically maintain a 22° return / supply differential and unit appears to be clean well maintained otherwise. This has been an intermittent issue for a number of months now… Thanks JeffBoon docking issues with DISHI notice a replacement receiver I got recently (Vip211k) now has a specification of 55 watts, and it has thrown my typical use parameters into unfavorable territory. I never thought much about it, but after putting a meter on mine (4+ amp draw), it actually consumes that much power when the receiver is turned Off also! That is a large increase in power consumption over my previous box... and this one gets flaming hot in its accessory cubby. What ever happened to energy conservation? Anyway, curious on what other satelite users equipment ratings are... 55 amps also? Maybe there are other options?Re: BD20 in 6.7 Cummins otrfun wrote: We've fueled up at a few major truck stops where B20 was the only fuel available. Got to wonder what owner/drivers of older 18-wheelers are doing while they're on the road. If use of B20 was that big of a no-no for pre-2013 Cummins, wouldn't we have heard a rash of horror stories by now? Almost all fleet vehicles and heavy duty trucks are designed to run up to b20, so its mostly the few light duty trucks and cars that have (had) the bd5 restriction... Agreed, why no horror stories? ...but sure would like to hear from some who have been forced to go b20 extended term.Re: BD20 in 6.7 CumminsBased on responses, I guess there aren't many of us left out here with these old fashion 4th gen Dodge trucks... :( Not sure on filters that seperate water vs 2 micron particles (on Fleetguard website), but Dodge does it all with one filter. I will look into installing another 2 micron filter assembly and hope for the BD5 not to fade away forever. So, will a new $60K Dodge turn extinct in 10 years also?BD20 in 6.7 Cummins07' Dodge Ram manual says NO fuel over 5 percent Bio-Diesel. Favorite station in SoCal has now put an orange sticker on the pump notifying fuel contains up to 20 percent biodiesel, and have noticed the stickers on a few others recently. The question is: What are you other DODGE owners with non-fleet trucks from 2007.5 thru 2013 doing in regards to using this fuel? What mods have you done to your truck to get by on BD20? No mods and been using BD20 intermittently for years / or using it all the time? ...wanting to hear from you. ThanksRe: flipping my axles for more heightThey are putting the axles over the springs now on the Cougar? My cougar had the axles under the springs from the factory, so I just put 2" blocks in and went to bigger tires for a total of 3 inch lift. Added the wet bolt /equlzrs and x member reinforcement later.. no shocks, as I dont ride inside it anyway. The new Ram is a couple inches taller than mine, so not sure how big a tire you can go depending on clearances...
