I usually use cruise control on the road. As a hill becomes steeper, speed will drop 3-4 mph below set speed before a downshift. On downhill grades, as speed increases, the speed may go 4-5 mph over before a downshift. I consider it normal. Down long 6% grades with curves, I will usually adjust the cruise down several mph below my usual 59 mph set speed.Re: Dish Network On The Road Dutch_12078 wrote: KeithAS wrote: GoPackGo Do you need to have the system set up and running when you call them, or can you call a couple of hours before? Some of the places we camp have no cell service. I sometimes change our service address to our next location before leaving our current location. Never been a problem. I use the Dish online chat function rather than calling them to make the change. Thanks for the info. Wife would like it, me...eh. Expensive proposition. We camped 34 days last year, in 5 different months, and our 2 weeks in Colorado in June has us in a campsite that I don't remember how well it is open through the trees to the south. With my Reflection 303RLS hitched, the weight on my truck's axles is 10,580 lbs. My Reflection's GVWR is 11,995 lbs. OP's Solitude's GVWR is 15,000 lbs. My 3500 is overloaded by 470 lbs. I think the dealer was wanting in the low $50s. We paid $44~ for the 303.Re: A stop off I10 not to miss tuna fisher wrote: GGeorge wrote: I have never been to Rusty's, but I heard of a similar place in AZ. The Alamo Lake State Park, southeast of Havasu City. I have not been there either, YET. But the experience will be welcomed. Nice place if your a Bass fisherman. A whole lot hotter, better not plan a summer trip there, JMO. We stayed there a couple of weeks ago, during a warm spell. We used both air conditioners in the day. Good sites with great views (lake side of the road). May go back, but in February time frame. This month, our camp site will be at 6300'.
