You'll be glad you did.Re: Do many campgrounds discriminate against TC's...?Private campground owners can make and enforce any rules they wish. We, as truck campers, can opt to either stay or not at a particular campground. If the rule is that no truck campers are allowed then we have no choice to make but to move on.Re: Happijac Parts list/Repair InstructionI had the same problem with a rear motor that would not work and Happijack told me exactly what they told you regarding a DIY repair. I decided to call my dealer and he told me that when those motors seem seized they need to be replaced. I mailed him the old motor and he mailed me a new one. Works fine. Try calling your dealer.Re: Northern Lite 10-2 RD (Rear Dinette) with air conditioning"Cool" is a relative term. That being said, I believe the a/c in the Northern Lite 10-2 rear dinette performs effectively. We use a free standing fan to increase air circulation. It faces the sleeping area at night and the living area during the day.Re: Staying in RV parks with truck campersMy wife an I workcamp May-Sep. We never take the camper off. If we go sightseeing we always have our bathroom and, if we go shopping we can put perishables into the refrig and not have to get home right away. I would not worry about your campsite being given to another camper. Everything is on computer, Campground Master or NRRS. We left our water hose, sewer hose and even our Dish Tailgater. No problems.Re: Solar for Northern Lite 811 ???? Pictures?I have 2x125w panels installed by the factory on a 2012 10-2. One is just aft and parallel to the heike vent. The 2nd is mounted on the curb side running lengthwise towards the rear. The camper does not have a luggage rack.Re: Campground in Poconos with lakeOtter Lake, East StroudsburgRe: 3/4 ton vs. 1 ton shortbed for a Lance 855-SDo yourself a favor and read the truck camper tip in the current issue of rvtravel.com.Re: Anybody using Stable Lifts? If you do decide on the Stablelift and you plan to purchase a new camper, opt out of the electric jacks. That saves over $1k. We did that with Northstar. They installed the stablelift at their factory. The product does exactly as advertised. It is not cheap, though. Good Luck.Re: Warranty work refusedI think there is a difference between a car purchase and an rv purchase. Cars are usually driven locally. I was in the rv business for 25 years. Never once did I refuse to do warranty work on a camper regardless of where it was purchased and, never was stiffed by a manufacturer for a warranty claim. Simply called the manufacturer to be sure the claim was valid. A buck is a buck and remember, treat people the way you would like to treated.
