If you need brakes at that mileage with melted abs sensor you have frozen or stuck caliper qnd or guide pins period. Getting this hot means wheel bearings should be inspected and repacked,maybe rotors,new calipers and hoses bleed road test after reassembly not going to do in 1 hour per wheel.that is not a brake job but just a pad stab647Views0likes0CommentsRe: Heat source when away for the day
My rule is if we are not there no heaters other than furnace.I am a worrier cause @$#% happens.bad outlet or worn outlet,wire coonection shaken loose from traveling,cheap thermostat and overheat devices in heaters etc. Our volunteer fire training told us if your not there using it unplug it. dave828Views0likes0CommentsRe: Tow Bars
Hi, I have a Blue Ox tow bar rated for 10000 lbs I use to tow an old Chevy Malibu[98].Not saying its the best just what I have and are satisfied with. Check the towing laws for states u will be in,many require u to be able to stop in 40 feet from 25 mph,others different.I have unit that mounts small air cylinder from floor pan to brake pedal[cannot remember name] has breakaway brakes also.I cannot tell any difference whether I use it or not as far as stopping.I would have one just to cya in case of accident. dave145Views0likes0CommentsRe: Need E-450 rear axle repair in Seattle area
When I was in the repair business I found many times bearings going bad in rearends with low mileage.Never used to see this in 100000 miles . I think its due to poor quality of bearings used today.Even found many bearings and races with made in %$#^&% on them.
