The road isn't the greatest but doable. Some time ago someone was ranting about how dangerous it is shortly after I went across it. (I asked if he was expecting a 6 lane freeway. The road has one rough, curvy section and the rest has small shoulders and not the best road surface. I have a 35' motorhome towing. To me it was jut another road. Yes, do it all the time with our 2016 Bounder. Inverter on, fridge on, drive on. Make sure that you have something to keep the door closed. Is Fleetwood still using those stupid "Fidget spinners" for travel latches? Tripcheck.com has been showing 199 is open for the past few days. 199 does have about a 10 mile section that is narrow and curvy and a few trees that show some battle scars. Pay attention to the signs, watch your speed and watch for fallen rock. Once you get through the section it is just another road. The only difference between brands of trac bars is the color and price. They all do the same thing. Look at the different brands and compare how they mount. If you want to skip some Interstate stay on 93 to Shoshone and take 26/20 on to W Yellowstone. Decent road. Might consider a stop at Craters of the Moon east of Carey, ID. If you go with lead-acid get a battery watering system, like others have said, and use it every 60 days or so. Simple to use and takes about 10 minuets start to finish.
