I called ford and after asking several question the results was, the reason you put the ACC on is the keep the car in neutral. This is good information. I also asked if the battery dies would this cause the car to go out of neutral and she said it would. I will have them setup a charger system for my edge. The owners manual states to place ignition in the accessory position. I was asking because while on a trip I met a guy towing a Flex and he was having battery issues and put a disconnect on the battery. That had me thinking that placing the ignition in the ACC position my be just to unlock the steering. I will try to get more info from ford. The dealer did not know. Thanks for all comment all input is welcome as I am new to this, and did not like using a tow dolly as I have been.329Views0likes0Comments
