It's a short queen and the bunks can utilize sheets for a double. In both cases you will need to tuck the excess underneath as well as be able to contort yourself in ways you never though possible. Agree. You are fine. Might take a few rinses to get the foaming to stop, but putting a little in the HW tank is better than winterizing by putting antifreeze in the FW tank and pumping it from there. My kids have been camping since they were about one. We used a basic swing down style toddler rail to keep them from falling out of the bunks. It just tucks under the mattress and prevents them from falling out. My small hybrid had two queen beds that ABSOLUTELY require the mattresses to be folded in half to be stored. I do not see how a standard memory foam mattress would ever work.
