My mechanic always checked that at my service intervals. And specifically throw only cylinder misfire codes (P0300 & P030X), no other codes? We’re talking once a mile or so.Re: 2005 E450 Ford V10 intermittent misfires zigzagrv wrote: Did you check your battery voltage? Had a similar situation once where after I would stop for a short while and when restarted, it would run rough and throw codes till I got up to speed. Turned out battery was bad and till the alternator built up voltage, this would happen. New battery solved the problem. Battery is new this season, replaced proactively, not out of need. The codes are thrown at idle, up hills, down hills, doesn’t appear to vary with load.Re: 2005 E450 Ford V10 intermittent misfiresBeen up in Alaska all summer, my 2016 E450 Ford V10 (26,000 miles) has had the CEL on for the past five weeks. According to my OBD2 scanner, it first started throwing P0300 (generic misfire), then it claimed cylinder 2 was the culprit (P0302) Replaced the air filter as it was filthy. Nope. At the point its flagging 4 different cylinders, split between the two sides, had a mechanic diagnose it, suggested bad fuel or water. Tossed in SeaFoam and iso Heat. Nope Refusing to believe it’s the plugs/coils on 4 cylinders, as they are good for 100k miles, tried replacing the MAF sensor. Nope. Bit the bullet and replaced all the plugs and coils. Nope. All through this period of misfires, which was flashing the CEL once a mile, no loss of power, no loss of fuel economy, drove just as it always has. So I’m heading homeward with the CEL flashing, run out of things to check or replace. Stumped every mechanic I have consulted.Re: Lazy Daze is closed permanently ernie1 wrote: We looked at the 24' model but the design where the driver's seatback, when pushed to it's rearward most position, opened a panel into the bathroom which left the driver partially in the bathroom and partially in the cockpit was a deal breaker! That’s the model I have, the feature is great for giving you an extra inch or two, you aren’t in the bathroom if you recline an inch or so. Plus it’s optional, you don’t need to use it, but it was a deal maker for me. Their popular mid bath has the fridge behind the driver and doesn’t have that option.Re: In need of opinions, thank you theoldwizard1 wrote: The Ford V10 or the current large gas V8 was never available in a "small Class C". My 2017 Lazy Daze 24’ on an E450 (V10 6.8L) would beg to differ on the usage of “never”. But yes, there aren’t many small Cs on a E450Re: Lazy Daze is closed permanently John S. wrote: Well we lost another quality builder last month. Lazy Daze shut down for good. THe combination of the pandemic and shutdowns with that and the chassis issues and parts issues due to the supply constraints have claimed a great manufacturer. I wonder if they had been in a state that did not shut down if they would have survived Just bought a used 24’ 2017 Laze Daze in March after being on the wait list for a new one since July 2020. Exceptionally built RV, better than the other class Cs I’ve driven. In speaking directly with folks at Laze Daze earlier this year, they just could not get E450 chassis to build on from Ford, which is not surprising if you go to buy a new vehicle at any car dealer, there is just no stock available. It wasn’t California shutdown, the Mothership (factory) wasn’t down much longer than the summer of 2020, they were able finish up what they had to build on later that year, then nothing to build upon. Sad that Ford didn’t prioritize smaller manufacturers and instead short the large manufacturers just a few chassis, to keep a healthy ecosystem of RV manufacturers.Re: Nebraska Hwy 2Nebraska native. I’ve taken it many times, will be taking it again in two weeks, lovely road, much better than I-80.Re: Beartooth passI’ve driven it three times, twice in a 24’ Class C, so yes I have seen RVs on that road. Yes it’s a lot of turns and drop offs, but with liberal downshifting, it’s not that challenging for someone with mountain driving experience.Re: Yellowstone Canyon Campground 2021 ????Heads up for those considering Canyon inside Yellowstone for 2021: The road between Tower-Roosevelt and Chittenden Road will be completely closed until May 2022. If you want to visit Lamar valley to the NW of Canyon, you’ll have to detour west, up to Mammoth, then head east, quite a detour.Re: Big Horn Mountains (Sheridan/Buffalo WY) CloudDriver wrote: We have used two FS campgrounds in the Bighorns and loved both. Tie Flume Campground Highly recommend Tie Flume. At the risk of making it harder for me to stay there in the future, here are photos :-) Last one involved a climb, before drones.
