I have a 2013 Maverick 2902 so very similar camper. One issue I'm having as I prepare to winterize my camper this season (the first time I've had to do it), I can't seem to find the low point drains. I see the water heater bypass valves, the fresh water drain valve, the water pump bypass so you can pump antifreeze through the system, etc. BUT I can't locate the low point drains for the HOT/COLD water system. There looks like one capped pipe behind the left rear wing (in the area where the sewer dump pipe is located). But there is only the one. I want to make sure I get everything drained. Have you located them on your 2910?Re: Mounting Truck Camper on Top Of 5th Wheel Hitch RailsI’ll Probably use 2x10s across the bed to clear the 5er rails. Should my rubber mat be on top of the boards or under them? Don’t want them sliding.Mounting Truck Camper on Top Of 5th Wheel Hitch RailsI just bought a Truck Camper to use but don't want to remove my 5th Wheel Hitch rails from the truck bed. I would still like to use a 3/4" rubber bed mat under the camper but how do I get the clearance to get above the rails? I'm thinking of using 2 X 6 boards across the bed in front of, between, & behind the 5er rails to lift above the rails. Should I use a rubber bed mat below the 2 X 6 boards or on top of them? I'm sure I'll have to trim the rubber mat to fit around the 5er rails. What have others done? Thanks in advance!I 75 Northbound Closed at I 24 South of Chatanooga?Hoping this is an April Fools joke but some are reporting a bridge failure here closing I 75. Anyone know if it's true?Re: Going to Florida Friday via 75-any hurricane Michael issuesI see you are planning to take I75 from Detroit all the way to Fl. Is I75 through Detroit open again? Last time I was thru there it was closed for about 20 miles due to bridge repair/construction. Wondering if it's back open again?I 69 Port Huron to IndyHas anyone travelled I 69 from Port Huron to Indianapolis lately? What are the road conditions like these days? I'm going to be pulling a 16,000 Lb 5th wheel trailer down there in a couple weeks and wondering if there might be any problems/construction/etc. Thanks in advance!Re: bringing alcohol back to canadaSometimes you run into a "stickler" border agent who seems to have an axe to grind. I crossed the border back into Canada last week and, when asked, declared my 1 full 1.75L bottle of Whiskey, 1 case of 24 beer cans + a part bottle of Whiskey(7/8 full 1.75L), a part bottle of Vodka (1/3 full 1.75L) and 6 loose cans of beer. Mainly left overs from a winter spent in FL..... 99% of the time, the border agent will wave you thru with that amount of alcohol but this time, the agent sent me in to pay the extra duty on the overage amount ($28). Yes, I was a bit over my duty free limits after being away for 6 months but what a pain! The Customs office in Windsor isn't really set up for pulling over a large RV/truck combo. The large truck inspection area was full so I had to back out since there was no room to navigate the tight space in the car section. You don't dare express any dissatisfaction with the border agent's decision since they are likely to send you in for a full, "rip you apart" inspection at the least provocation.Buying A New RV in US?Anyone know what's involved in buying a new RV (5th Wheel) in the US and importing it into Canada? Even with the low Cdn $, it's still a good deal. Just wondering what kind of issues I might run into because it's not CSA approved? Anybody been there - done that? What should I be aware of? Thanks!Re: not so fantastic vent ScottG wrote: SCVJeff wrote: This is a stupid question, but have you bothered to call the factory? Fantastic Fan is the poster child for what customer service is supposed to be. They used to be but not so much anymore since they were bought out by Atwood. I just had excellent service on my Fantastic Vent from the factory back in December. Replaced the damaged parts under warranty on a 8 year old RV! I was amazed and delighted with Fantastic Vent's service. Don't know where the "not so much anymore" comment is coming from but my experience was great! Give the factory customer service folks a chance and I'll bet they fix you up!!!Restringing Day/Nite Shades - Grommet?I have a couple of Day/Nite shades that need restringing and I have never been able to get the new grommets that come with the restring kit to fit back into the grommet hole. Is there a secret in how to replace the grommets? Hope someone can help.
