All ActivityMost RecentMost LikesSolutionsPlease help me decide on a truck camperI'm trying to decide between two truck campers from two different manufacturers. One is northern lite and the other is lance. I like the design and construction of the northern lite except it's use of wood in construction but the fewer seams on it is really a great design point I think. The lance has more seams but uses azdel rather than wood in construction and so won't rot or mold even if it does leak. The northern lite has a great floorplan with no slides. The lance model I like has a great floorplan but has a slide. Can anyone give me pros and cons of either one? Anyone gone from one to the other and if so, why?Swapping mirrorsI'm looking at a used ram 2500. It has the sport mirrors. How hard is it gonna be to swap these out for the towing mirrors and how much am I looking at to do it?Truck camper mileageI know these things aren't exactly fuel efficient or bought for that purpose but what sort of mileage are you guys getting with the camper on and is your rig gas or diesel?East/West bed???Saw a comment on some youtube video about campers with north/south beds being better than east/west and so on and so forth. I didn't know there WERE any truck campers with east/west beds. I camp alone and think the east/west would be easier to climb in and out of. Who makes them?Re: Sprinter Class C 4x4 ConversionUjointoffroad has a good rep but they don't work on sprinter chassis. To my knowledge they only work on the ford van/van cutaway based class b/c.Dumb propane questionI'm not afraid to ask the stupid question so here goes, I fulltime in a fiver and so I have two propane tanks. I keep one closed at all times so that if it runs out in the middles of the night I can go outside, close the one and open the other and I'm back in business. My question is, for those in motorhomes, since they only have one tank, what do you do to make sure you never run out just keep a close eye on it?Northern LightsNot sure if this is the right heading to post this under but here goes. I'm fascinated with the northern lights (aurora borealis). I've only seen them once because I live in the deep south. The one time I saw them was in northern Iowa right on the Minnesota line. Having never seen them I was in awe and actually had to ask what they were. I've since found out it was only because of extremely high whatever causes them that the lights were visible that night. My question is, is there anywhere in the lower 48 where the northern lights ARE regularly seen and is it more common at certain times of the year? What gears do I need?Looking at a Ram 2500 to pull a 7K travel trailer. It will be a gasser with the 6.4 hemi. Should I get the 4.10 rear end or will the 3.73 do what I need?Weight distribution hitch with ram auto levelingAnyone use a weight distribution hitch with an auto leveling ram? How do the two work together and how do you set up the hitch correctly with auto leveling?Re: Azdel interior walls??ATC toy haulers have azdel interiors.
