If you forget it is on you could easily overfill your tank and pump fuel onto the road. I know I would :} JimRe: Jack for changing flats?Road Side Emergency Insurance (Coach Net)-Cell Phone-No Spare. Pretty standard for a heavy Class A. Replace them all after 10 years no matter how good they look. JimRe: Keystone Furnace and outdoor stove WONT LIGHT HELP!!!!!!!Roy, FWIW we have been using a small Mr-Buddy heater plumbed to our onboard propane tank for the last 10 years in three different motorhomes. We run it 24/7 when it is cold and are still healthy. Our detectors have never come on except when I test them. We leave a roof vent slightly cracked open to satisfy the instructions provided with the heaters that a fresh air opening equal to a 3" diameter hole is provided. JimRe: ryobi 2200w generator extended run tankThe key is it needs to have a fuel pump. The Honda EU series does. I have a 3 gallon outboard type tank for my EU1000. JimRe: cable routing for solar - vent pipe or drill roof?I ran mine through the side of the refer vent then down through the floor of the refer access from outside then down through the floor and on to the battery area. I used #4 welding lead from the roof to the controller for 800w of panels (6 panels). I like welding lead due to its flexibility. I see as high as 43A at 12V at times. JimRe: BTU versus watts, Propane versus electrical heatersI have posted this before but we are still alive so I will post it again. For the last ten years and three different coaches one class C and two class A. In all of them we have used a Small Single block MR Heater propane heater plumbed to the coach on board propane tank. We have Two CO detectors that never make a sound unless I test them which I do regularly. There is no odor from the heater. We have no unusual moisture inside. Many have screamed we we were going to die. Nope-doing just fine. We use non serviced sites in state parks most of the time and virtually never use our two furnaces. JimRe: LEDs on running lights on truck camperMy coach has always on when driving headlights only. I replaced all of my clearance lights with LED lights just because I like the looks of them :) JimRe: California Towing Speed LimitA number of years ago I was traveling on I-5 in Northern CA in my car with a little 4 foot square box trailer and was stopped and cited for 60 in a 55. Some officers take their job quite seriously. JimRe: Itinerary ideas for Oregon CoastIf your a airplane fan the Blimp Hangar south of Tillamook has a interesting display of vintage planes inside. JimRe: Solar For Motor Battery OnlyIf you disconnect the battery from the vehicle electrical system it "might". Jim
