When we were in San Miguel in late 2013 we were told by several sources that there were approximately 14,000 foreign residents in SM out of a population of 65,000, and about 5000 were Americans. It's the uncertainty of having work that keeps me from pulling the trigger. I might call the various companies in the summer and see if the heat opens up some opportunities.
