Did not expect that.... 2005 F150 crew cab 5.4L to a 2007 F350 Crew cab 6.0L. F150 got 9-12 mpg. f350 gets 18-21Re: Post your tow vehicle pics here60 gallon RDS tank with toolbox. I drove 450 miles to Lake Ontario and still had half my regular tank of fuel left. I love not having to find fuel while in tow. Plus, I plow in winter. Sometimes very long storms... And having the tank just makes life wicked easy. Re: Post your tow vehicle pics here musicman54 wrote: Our new tow beast. Bringing her home tomorrow. 2006 F350 DRW King Ranch. Bullet proofed. 6.0 As a Powerstroke mechanic and owner to another new owner.... I just want to ask... Are you sure it's bulletproofed?? My buddy bought a truck, the guy told him everything was done and turns out the only thing it had was an EGR delete. Just wanted to make sure you knew how to check to see if it was indeed studded and any other mods. You can physically see the head bolts and know for sure whether it's done or not. Here's what studs look like. The bolt next to the EGT probe wire. Should be an Allen drive in the center and a 12pt nut. They are visible all along the bottom of the valve cover. If it looks like a regular old hex bolt head then it hasn't been studded. Just an FYI. I usually always drive with running lights on anyway.Re: air bags on truck to prevent porpoising RCMAN46 wrote: If the OP will give us the CAT scale numbers I am betting we may find his pin weight percentage is way low. Number one cause of porpoising is low pin weight percentage. After we get actual CAT scale numbers then we can intelligently discuss if he has enough truck. Right now we are only guessing. I didn't read all 7 pages, but I agree here. I discovered that by adding water to my front mounted fresh tank made my truck ride soo much better than when we ride with the tank empty. We were going to a park with no hookups and I filled the freshwater before leaving. What a difference!Re: 5th wheel teething problems? Or junk?I have a 15 year old Damon... Before it was bought out by keystone. I've fixed a leaking pex pipe connection, had a fridge recall done, fixed a broken TV signal booster that pushed through the plate. I've been very happy with this unit over the years. I've wanted a newer unit, but all I ever hear about is problems with new units. I think I'll just keep on enjoying what I have.Re: Post your tow vehicle pics hereWow! That was a cool video to watch. Nice rig! I can imagine how cool the trailer is as well! Please tell me you're not wearing Toyo's! 35x12.5x20 Toyo Open Country....why? My last two sets were Goodyear Wrangler AT/2 in 275/65/20. Those were nice too. I loved the open country's and that's what's going on next.Re: Post your tow vehicle pics here beermanjoe wrote: 07PSDCREW you must like buying tires? Ha ha. My tires are about 1300$ Retail for a set. I am a Ford Dealer Diesel technician and I get about a half price discount. I was already putting new ones on in a few weeks because my old ones have about 4/32 left. (45k miles) It barely even scuffed the E rated tires anyway. There's still 4/32 left. I've done a lot of upgrades to the truck in the last 4-5 months. New 175/30 injectors, A Barder Stage 2 turbo, Stage 2 WPE ported intake, Warren diesel full billet transmission, water/methanol injection, S&B Cold Air intake, ARB rear diff air locker. The truck has always been a beast and never let me down. It was time to treat it to a few goodies at 178k miles. Here's the video if you'd like to watch! Also, I haven't done this since I was about 17 when I had a 88 mustang GT.Re: Post your tow vehicle pics hereA little fun I had with my tow rig today...
