Look on page 304 of the owners manual. Also see my post regarding battery charging on 2020 Equinox. I was told you need to pull the fuse for the rear wiper. I wanted to share some information I was recently given about towing the late model Equinoxes. All my manual says is to put it in neutral and push the ignition button to turn on ACC mode when towing. Then to run for 5 minutes every time you stop for fuel with your towing vehicle. I wanted to run a charge wire from our motorhome to the car to keep the battery up while towing it with the ACC on. I decided to go with the RVI Towed Battery Charger and a note on their website said owners of late model Equinoxes should also pull the fuse for the rear wiper when towing. I contacted RVI to find out why that was necessary and their response was that even when the wiper is not running it still pulls 6 amps and the charge from the motorhome wouldn't be enough to overcome the 6 amp draw from the rear wiper and the battery will likely still go dead. They also recommend unhooking their Towed Battery Charger when the vehicle isn't being towed to protect the Equinoxes electrical system. I wanted to share this information with other Equinox owners. On my 2020 the fuse for the rear wiper is #48. Here is the reply I received " You'll need to pull that fuse because the rear windshield wiper has a 6A draw all by itself, even when off. If you leave it in, it will overpower the TBC+ and you'll still have a dead battery when you get where you're going. One other thing we recommend on Equinoxes is to remove the TBC+ from the battery terminals when not towing. Because of the complexity of the Equinox and the difficulty presented by introducing third-party devices into the car, that helps prevent any possible issues that could come up between the car and the product."Re: 2018 Chevrolet Equinox battery dyeing dave from mesa wrote: Ok bought this new. installed a Toad Charge. First time out after 6 hrs the battery was dead. This year stopped at every rest stop and ran the engine for about 20 min ea time. Coming back fro San Antonio Had a dead battery 30 min out and jumped it ran it for 20 min and left for the next rest stop. Dead battery. Had to have wife drive it back to Mesa, az. Followed Chevy's instructions on how to tow it. Accy mode, Trans in neutral, parking brake off. What am I doing wrong? Am I the only one having this problem? Is there some fuse to pull? Am thing of getting a dolly. Don't want to do that but can't change cars. Help plz TIa On the 2020 Equinox you are suppose to pull the fuse for the rear wiper, why who knows. dave Re: Self Install vs. dealer/technician install Monkeyman_and_Lady wrote: I'm getting ready to purchase a 2022 Ford Escape AWD hybrid for a daily driver and to tow 4 down behind my motorhome. I'm handy, but know my limits. The video for installation of the RoadMaster tow bar definitely put me into the category of NOPE, I'll pay someone to do this work. Outside of my comfort zone. Any experiences with having a dealer or technician put in the various systems necessary for 4 down towing? Brake systems, 12 volt charge equipment etc? Looks like e-trailer shows a number of people in my state that do the work. But if anyone knows of places in Maryland that do good work and don't attempt the upsell to get installation of un-needed equipment, please speak up. Thanks, I've put on two baseplates. The biggest headache is removing the front facia on the car and then getting it back in place so everything lines up. The actual baseplates are simple to install.Re: Bronco azdryheat wrote: Bronco engines have been blowing up as I've seen on the news. I believe its just the V6's with problems the 4 cyl seems to be OK. I know someone with the 4cyl and they say it has plenty of power.Tow Dolly QuestionI have a question for those who use a tow dolly. Do you unhook your tow dolly lights and just use lights on the back of your toad when you tow? I have been thinking about making a four flat splitter with plugs for both my dolly lights and the lights on the back of the toad. This would give me better visibility for braking and turn signals. My lights are all LED so current draw should me minimal.Re: Rio Grande Valley texanrvr wrote: We're looking forward to a much better year in Mission Tx, hopefully without the covid-19 restrictions. The issue I an inquiring about is the fact that the Wally resets every 24 hours. After the reset, it takes about 5 minutes to reload the guide and then another 5 minutes to finish reloading the extended guide. Is there any way around this frustrating process? The Wally is a p.i.t.a compared to the 211z. Setup time every time the lights flicker is just rediculous. It should be programmed and have a internal battery or capicator to recall and try the last antenna position before it goes through the entire setup process again. We have a factory mounted tailgater on our roof and when the receiver goes into sleep motor the tailgater just runs and runs looking for a signal. I hope Dish replaces the Wally with something better soon.Re: Dish Network Wally Receiver Kountryguy wrote: I just acquired a Wally receiver and a Tailgater dish.
