I was going to remove them and look inside reference adjusting later, but while under there I found something else. Three of my four drums have grease leaking out of the bottoms onto the tire. I guess my seals are bad and now I have grease inside the drums. Wheels or drums have never been removed. Bought new February 2017. Has 2 year warranty. Need to find out now if that will be covered. No sense trying to adjust at this point. Are these 'EZ-Lube' axles (external zerk fitting one uses to pump grease in)? Over pump..blow seals...new brakes required Feb 2017 started the 2 year warranty clock (date of purchase) So YES they should be covered. Drums can be cleaned up, Shoes need replaced, bearings S/B OK but need inspected. Good luck! Not sure. The wheels are 16” with a center cap. Never been removed by me. Must remove wheel to inspect for that (EZ Lube). Had that system on my last tow behind but I never used it. Always removed drum, hand greased the bearings, and reinstalled with new seal. I’m going to guess since it has center caps it does not have that system. Thanks Old-Biscuit.Re: BrakesOk. So I went under and looked at the back side of the wheels. Now I know what to look for.BrakesIs there a way to tell if you have self adjusting brakes without having to remove the drum? I think mine need adjusting. Just wondering before I manually adjust them.Re: What does this mount to? IBcarguy wrote: Could it have something to do with rear roof ladder? No, it is light weight. I thought it may have been a stand for a tv but no tv's that small. Also thought it may have been for outside grill but again no.Re: What does this mount to?ok I took some photos with my hand for size reference and used photobucket. hope that helps. I edited them into the original post. What does this mount to? This "foot" was in the front storage area of a new Jayco fifth wheel I just purchased. It has rubber feet on the bottom and is some sort of a stand. I have been unable to figure out what it is supposed to hold. Can anyone tell me what it is for? Thanks. Re: Which 5th wheel hitchThanks for all the input. Still have not made a final decision. Currently considering a larger truck. Plan on having the fifth wheel gooseneck prep on it. Very interested in the Andersen hitch. Lightweight is a plus. Also leaning to a B&W as second choice. Again thanks.Re: Which 5th wheel hitch goducks10 wrote: I've been using a B&W patriot with rails in my 12 2500 CTD. It's been flawless for 4 seasons. I've gotten tired of hoisting the heavy bottom half in and out of my truck and now have an Anderson. It's a little trickier to hitch with but is sooo much lighter. I've only had a chance to use it a few times but so far I like it. I will add though that you need to keep an eye on your pin weight. 12 2500 CTD trucks have really low payload capacity. With passengers, gear and pin weight you'll be definitely over the trucks GVWR, GCVWR and near the RAWR Your right. My max payload is 2425 #. The pin weight on this Jayco is advertised at 2070 #. That leaves me only 355 #. Not sure what I'll do about that.Which 5th wheel hitchPlanning on buying my first fifth wheel trailer. Have been looking at fifth wheel hitches and installation rails. The fifth wheel I'm looking at is a Jayco Eagle 321 RSTS, unloaded 10075 # , loaded 12500 #. My truck is in my signature. Have been looking at the Curt A16 with the Curt installation kit. Etrailer has the both for around $842.00. Any pros and cons about Curt? What are your thoughts and suggestions?
