All ActivityMost RecentMost LikesSolutionsRe: How long to learn to drive a Class AWhen the alignment and tire pressure are right, it's easier to drive the Coach than a car. One tip: don't just get the front end aligned, do both axles, and if you get a tag, get it checked also. I had mine aligned at Josam in Orlando and found all three axles out. After alignment, I found I almost never needed to steer on a straightaway.Re: Questionable Sales Tactic by LazydaysIf you had your coach for sale, and someone called and asked you to hold it for a week or so and let them come look at it, would you agree? What if you turn down another buyer before they get there, then they decide not to buy? Without a deposit, it's first come first served. I see nothing wrong with asking for a refundable deposit to hold a unit.Re: Questionable Sales Tactic by LazydaysI bought my coach from them in 2007, same deal coach was just coming in, gave them a $500 refundable deposit to hold it until I could get there to look at it. By the time I got there, there were 4 more deposits in line for the unit. If w hadn't put down the deposit, no coach. I don't see this as an unusual sale technique.Re: Tire BlowoutA tire pressure monitoring system is well worth the money. I never had a problem with the pressure on the coach tires, but was warned of a leaking front tire on the toad in time to prevent damage to the tire. As to your blowout(s), 10 years is way too old for those tires to be safe. I would bet that the rest of them were showing signs of dry rot when replaced. Glad you weren't hurt.Re: Maintenance MahemCan't tell much from your pictures, but the two 12 volt batteries should be hooked up in parallel, ground to negative, negative to negative, positive to positive to switch. As to the no start, if it's cranking over fast enough, you either have air in the lines or the stop solenoid is engaged. You didn't say which engine you have, and cats and cummins bleed differently. Most Cats have a bleeder pump on the side other engine, most cummins will self bleed by turning the key on and of several times. But if there is air between the pump and the injectors, you might have to bleed them. If you have never done it, and are not mechanically inclined, you will probably need a mechanic to do it.Re: Apology to Wawaloam CampgroundIn my opinion, it's not so much the rules as the manner in which management enforces the rules and treats the people who pay good money to stay at the campground. I have no problem with complying with rules, even if they are a little unusual or overly strict, but when the management is unpleasant, I will write off a park and never return. I've never stayed at this park, and based on what I have read, never will, but it's clear they have too much business and can therefore afford to be nasty to the tenants.Re: RV Drivers LicenseAt the very least, go to Lazydays in Tampa and take their course. It's only one day, but will give you some important information, such as: turning radius, stopping distance, sight lines, etc. Actually driving the thing is easy, it's stopping, starting, turning and parking that is complicated.Re: Chassis/Walls/Roof Twisted after Collision on Class A MH?I believe Allaiance Coach in Wildwood has a comprehensive collision repair service, but I agree that you might be looking at a total loss. You insurance carrier will be able to assess the coach.Re: Sell it then promise to fix it....seriouslyEvery motorhome, new or used, is going to have a "punch list" of problems to correct. It makes economic sense for the dealer to do it all once. A car dealer doesn't have that problem, since when you drive it off the lot, it is yours, pretty much as is, and a car, either new or used, doesn't have a couch, refrigerator, washing machine, etc, and was not nearly as complicated to build. That being said, if it were me, I would correct the glaring problems up front to improve the chances of a sale.Re: Window Awning Fabric ReplacementTough tops can probably make you replacement fabrics for those window awnings
