Glad I did as we had a inch of ice on trailer in the morning.Re: New 5thSorry. Doesn’t look like it went in as hot link.New 5thhttps://www.linkedin.com/posts/talalalmurad_who-likes-camping-activity-6746506308901466112-F-Qj . This looks really cool.Re: Slide out manufacturer for 2004 Jazz by ThorThe clutch mechanism is probably not serviceable. I had a Jazz and I think it was made by Thor. Nice little trailer. The drive gears are probably standard on a lot of makes, pull the motor and clutch and see if there is a mfg name on the unit. Google is your friend on this search.Re: Cant get parts shipped from USA to CanadaI always specify shipping by USPS. Canada has a remission on taxes if the value is less than $50. UPS and FEDEX will charge you a brokerage fee . The USPS flat rate box is cheap and you can get a lot of stuff shipped.Re: camping sites for a 42' fifth wheel?I have a 36ft 5th and have REALLY hard time getting into any parks in B.C.or Canada for that matter. When we bought this trailer i told the wife that it will be used only in the southwest of the US. We are now looking at something a lot smaller, 25ft range. As we age and with this covid I don't know if we will ever travel to AZ,NM or NV again. Our campgrounds are old and small, and they usually only operate for the summer months. We do have some private parks so the phone and a good campground directory is your best friend. Good luck and happy campingRe: Champion generatorUpdate on my 2000 watt champion generator. I sent them a email complaining that I couldn’t order parts In Canada. WELL they asked me what I needed and asked if they could help. I gave them the part numbers and my address. This morning I get a response that they are working on the order from Canada problem, and they are shipping the parts to me for FREE. WOW. So I guess my rant the other day was just a old mans frustration. Customer service other than phone seems great.Champion generatorI bought a 2000 watt generator in 2016 to use in trailer and cabin. Well now the unit will not start with a no spark issue. I live in Canada so I phoned the number in the manual to get tech support and order parts, after 2 days of being on hold I gave up. Tried to order a new coil and parts on line at their web site, to order you have to log in. Tried that but the only two places they offer was U.S. and Puerto Rico. Phoned some local gen service people and all of them said Champion was the worst company to deal with, the dreaded one to come in for warranty. Makes me wonder if this is a disposable generator. Beware if you buy one of this companies units. Wish I’d bought a Honda or Yamaha. Sorry for the long rant but I’m really P——s. off.Re: Water Damage Repair Info Needed - Please Help!Water damage is like rust in your car, usually a lot worse than it looks. It sounds like your handy with tools,,,pull it apart and make a decision , you have nothing to lose. You may be able to repair it.Re: Holiday rambler roof questionI’d go back to the place that did the job and let them know your not happy. IMHO I would order the correct trim pieces, get the proper screws , pan head I think, deck screws are for decks not trailer roofs. No reason to have a seam in the trim. Or you could just use eternabond tape and be done with it.
