I've been working out of my camper lately...what a great office!Bigfoot carpeted ceilings -clean, remove, cover?Any Bigfoot owners out there had to wash their ceilings or remove the carpet on the ceiling or even cover the carpet on the ceiling. My 1997 2500 has some stains around a leaky ac and random dirt marks and I'm not sure what's the best process to clean or cover up. I plan to remodel the whole camper at some point so I'm open to tearing it all out if that is even an option, but for now what products or process do you do to remove stains from ceiling carpet. thanks for your time!Re: My (our) Ultimate Truck Camper Body BuildAmazing!! I'm currently doing a utility body swap and custom work on my rig. Lots of planning, not enough movement. I dont have the wife buy in that you did so I have to move fast and I'm clogging up the garage good. One of the many items on my list of to-dos is to determine how I will arrange/organize the items in the 6 boxes. for example 1 box is for my batteries, electric upgrades ect, 1 box is for plumming, hoses, RV items, 1 box is for outdoor games/chairs ect, 1 box is being designed as a fold out outdoor kitchen and 1 box of course will be the tool box. Any chance you could give us some pics or description on how your organized your utility box systems. Thanks for your time.removing silicone from FiberglassJust got a older Bigfoot 10.6 with custom utility service body and couldn't be happier, although both need a lot of work. The previous owner used huge amount of 100 year silicone to attach the bigfoot to the service body (not sure why) as it is also attached to camper mounts. Regardless, I have a bunch of silcone I need to remove from the side/bottom area of the camper. I've heard coleman camper fuel works well but don't know if it will damage the fiberglass. Anyone have any suggestions for removing and cleaning off all this silicone from a gel coated fiberglass RV? Thanks for your time LukeRe: Hail Damage + Lance Aluminum roof replacement questionsThanks for the responses.Hail Damage + Lance Aluminum roof replacement questionsI have a 2003 Lance 1130 with a 1 piece aluminium roof that got all dented up in a hail storm here in MN. I put in a claim and the insurance adjuster came out and decided to replace the roof. I got the estimate a couple weeks later and it says Lance aluminium roofs are no longer available so they will be putting a rubber roof on it. From what I understand the 1 piece aluminum roof is structural and tearing it off and putting a rubber membrane roof sounds like a terrible idea to me. So a couple questions.. 1. is there any places that do replace full aluminum roofs and do roof repairs that you all know of that I can call and get an estimate? 2. Does that even sound like a viable fix? (not to me)? 3. tips to help sell the insurance adjuster that a rubber roof is not OK. Thanks for all your time!Re: Who has a Drone they take Camping?1. Did you use it for photography, playing around, scouting out a potential campsite, other? all of the above, love the auto track feature to track me on my ATV or boat (great video). I mainly use it for family photos and campground pics. Its nice to fly it out and get a group photo including the larger surroundings. 2. Where did you fly? I dont normally stay at busy campgrounds. But I fly it where ever I wouldnt be a nuisance and want to get some cool pictures. 3. What precautions did you take to not be a nuisance? I avoid people that aren't in my camping party and private property. 4. What type of drone do you have? DJI Spark - the entry level pro-sumer setup for a DRONE. lots of user friendly functionality and an OK price. 5. Where did you store it in the camper? I have a case and backpack that it all fits in. 6. Where there any challenges to charging the batteries? battery life on the SPARK is about 12 minutes. I carry 4 batteries with me. 12 minutes may see short, but you can get alot of shots in the time frame. 45 minutes to recharge. I bought a accessory that charges 4 battery's at once. 7. What was the range like in heavily forested areas? I have a booster that says 5 miles. Realistically maybe 1 or 2 miles with booster. The more stuff in between you and the drone the less distance. maybe 1400 -2000 feet in forest maybe less with dense cover or buildings. 8. Did you get comments from other campers? Never had any issues, normally just interest and questions. Not Rage. 9. What sort of rules did you encounter at various places? Never asked, never invaded any bodies space. DJI has built in protection from breaking FDA rules. It wont let me fly if there is a airplane in the area or airport close by. It also has safety measures to limit height to under 400 feet. I absolutely love playing and taking photos with my drone but I go out of my way not to offend people when I'm flying. My 2 cents.Re: Atwood electronic Jacks issueI got a replacement remote off amazon and it works better now, but still only has about a 4-5 foot range from the receiver. The legs do move down/up for more than 2 second increments now. how far should I be able to move away and still have the remote work?Atwood electronic Jacks issueMy wireless remote only seems to work about 1 foot from the receiver under the sink in my Lance and only intermittently. The legs only come down or up for about 2 second increments and I constantly have to re position the remote to get them to move again. Has anyone had issues like this and do you know if its the remote or the receiver or even worse the jacks. I have replaced the batteries in the remote and it makes no difference. My battery is fully changed as well as plugged into the house. I turned off all Bluetooth items in my truck and on my phone but it still acts this way. Looking for some advice.Tire Chains QuestionHeading out to Colorado (Vail, Breckenridge, and copper) for a snowboarding trip in about 2 weeks for 10 days and was wondering if I should pick up Tire Chains? Do I need them (2WD DRW truck - 4K camper)? are they legal there? as they are not legal in MN. What is a good brand to pickup or what do you use? Any tips I should know since I've never used them? Thanks for your time!
