I put a cup hook in each side of the closet directly below the pole and loosely attached two bungy cords around the tops of the hangers. If interested, I'll post a picture later. I'd be interested in seeing those pics...even if I have decided to implement one of the other mods on here and install shelves instead! :BRe: Cool Mods - Thread restored 10/18/2012I've done numerous little mods (i.e. paper towel hoder, toothbrush holder, towel racks, etc) but this simple mod is my favorite. I made curtains for the little window on the door. It has room darkening material on the other side to help it stay cooler. I have affixed it with velcro so when I want to, I just take them down! :) Re: Cool Mods - Thread restored 10/18/2012 Rosehill wrote: I am not a "hang up clothes" kind of person. So I removed the closet rod and built in shelves, using 3/4" birch plywood and covering them with sheet vinyl for ease of cleaning. I trimmed out the edges with pvc corner bead. Now my clothes stay where I put them. I would love to do something like this as I've found that hanging the clothes in the little "closet" seems to be worthless (can't fit much in there and hangers are always falling off the rod and it wastes space). Now if I can only figure out how to go about it...Re: Cool Mods - Thread restored 10/18/2012 DadToFourBoys wrote: I then painted the interior with rust preventing paint How on God's green earth were you able to reach in there to paint it?? :h
