You're crazy dangerous if you try to tow a popup with anything less than a medium duty diesel or full size Peterbilt or similar. Think about all the other innocent people on the road. You can never have too much truck.Re: RDS auxiliary tankI have the RDS 60 w/ toolbox. All the answers have been addressed to the OP, but I'll add one more comment.... After using this box since 2006 (on my 6.0 F250, then transferred it to my 2012 F350), I added an inline fuel filter last year. That was a mistake! Since it is a gravity feed system, the inline filter added enough resistance that the tank would stop draining to the stock tank when it dropped to about half full. I finally got around to pulling the filter off and have it straight feeding again. I change my fuel filters on my truck as required so I don't see the need for a filter between the tanks and should have never added it.Re: 2017 Ford Rear Bed Height Fxfymn wrote: I drove a 2017 F-350 4x4 today. The sales person said the high body was due to the flat floor in the back seat. They have eliminated the transmission hump. If you go to the Ford web site and look under brochures the trailer towing guide provides the bed height. It is about 60". News to me. I have the 2012 F350 and I have a flat floor on mine. Another stupid salesperson.Re: terrible trailer swayI guarantee you he has too much tension on his WD bars. He should take as much tension out of it as possible. After that, he needs to transfer more weight to the nose of the trailer.Re: Ford is raising their fuel capacities.Having a 5 gal DEF tank to begin with was pure stupidity. DEF sells mostly in 2.5 gal quantities. Even if you run it near perfect empty, you always have left over to stick in your garage and wait a few weeks to add in. (If you like topping off your tanks - which I do)Re: Tow vehicle and daily driver....My F350 is my daily driver. That's all I drive and the family vehicle anytime we go somewhere together. Love driving it and much safer for doing so. Buy the 1 ton Ford. They don't ride any different than a 3/4 ton and use no more fuel. Just have better hauling capacity when you need it. The overload springs don't affect your ride when driving without a trailer.Re: 2015 Ford and Chevy sales recap NC Hauler wrote: I'm not going to read this, nor am I even going to post on this thread. Jim I see what you did there. But isn't is comical for these guys to come on and complain about how they don't care? Good grief. If I don't care about something, I just move along. These babies have to come here and take time from their day to tell everyone else they don't care.Re: New truck and hitch weighedIt sits level, tows fine and the weight distribution between the front and rear axles are pretty even. You clearly have not underloaded the steering axle based on the weights you've shown. You're looking to fix a problem that doesn't exist.Re: 2015 Ford and Chevy sales recap azdryheat wrote: Do I care who sells the most? Nope. Yet you still clicked on the link with a clear subject line, then took the time to comment.Re: Another would you tow it without WDH post SouthpawHD wrote: As long as the roads to the CG are more rural roads, you should be fine. I peronsally wouldn't tow at speeds above 55 w/o the proper hitch set up. This makes no sense. He's WELL WITHIN any ratings or standards of requiring a WDH. Regardless of the roads he will travel. A standard run-of-the-mill hitch is the proper hitch set up.
