I am curious if anyone has tried connecting their cell phone booster from their truck to the powered antenna in their travel trailer. It LOOKS simple enough, but I'm wondering if it will make a difference. The connections aren't the same size coaxial, and I have to install a 12v outlet to power the booster, but that seems straight forward enough. Thoughts?Re: Really weird power issueIt's 8 am here. I will wait an hour or two. ;)Re: Really weird power issueThanks everyone. This turned out to be a case of me forgetting something simple. You were all right. I was grounding out badly. When I put the trailer in storage, I put the battery cables through the propane tank retention screw to keep them from dragging. Pulled them back to their proper spot, and problem solved! Simple fix, but it almost drove me to drink last night. Thanks again!Re: Really weird power issueI missed that part. The battery isn't on the trailer. Simply shore power.Re: Water HeaterAt least you didn't try and "figure it out" for 4 trips, to only realize that you simply hadn't turned the quarter turn valves back inline after de-winterizing it................Really weird power issueOk. Long description here, but I think it's neccesary. I was going through our Nomad 188B this morning, and when I plugged into the shore power at the house, I had no power to the trailer. Now, there is nothing wrong with the power source, that was the first thing I checkd. Checked the only GFCI outlet we have in the trailer, all good. So I checked the fuses. We have a fuse box that has LEDs that light up if the fuse is toast. No lights. Hmmmm. So I pulled the 30A fuse, and voila. We have lights, water pump, but no awning or slide controls. I put the 30A back in, and no more power. Bought new fuses, no change. Now here is the weird part. I went to pull the 30A fuse, and it was hot. I may need an adult on this one.......Re: Here she isOur brand new 2014 Nomad 188B (by Skyline), and my new-to-me 2007 Ram 1500 SLT w/ Husky WD hitch w/ sway. Re: Skyline RV forumBrand new proud parents of a 2014 Skyline Nomad 188B. As it is just my SO and myself and our puppo, it was everything we wanted in as small a package as we could find. And the season ending clearance discount which knocked the price down 38% helped make our decision! Unfortunately, winter is already right around the corner up here. So we won't get a chance to experience our new TT for a few months. But after reading this thread, I am positive we made the right choice!
