I agree, I saw the same scenario last week when I took mine apart. Both AC chase pre formed in styrofoam run all the way back to the bathroom. You can really add one each side. It's cool air going nowhere. Thanks for the post. I now may do the same. By the way, I took mine apart, because I heard a mouse "traveling" up there in the chase. He gained access above the black tank there is about 1/2" space between the top of tank, and the bottom of exterior floor. He then traveled up the vent pipe chase verticle between the bathroom wall and bnk wall. The vent pipe fortunate for him passed thru the AC chase before going thru the roof. So this is how he gained access. All fixed. So I know that there is ducting in there. If you took the fan trim ring out and you feel cold air anywhere other than coming out of a ceiling register, then the AC plenum and/or registers, like 90% of the other trailers on the road, wasn't taped correctly at the factory. Go to Home Depot, get a roll of foil duct tape and seal up those leaks or you will forever be posting on here asking why your air conditioner won't cool your trailer. That cold air isn't doing you any good in the ceiling. "If you took the fan trim ring out and you feel cold air anywhere other than coming out of a ceiling register" Like I said there is no AC registers back there so the air that I think is being ducted back there has no where else to go but out the sides of the of that area and I can feel it when that fantastic fan trim is off. No problems cooling the new camper. I have had the AC running at the house while doing some mods to the Flagstaff 25KS and it cools great in the Florida heat. I installed my Franks Electronics autoformer and mounted in the camper and setup the bypass already... I guess I could get my hands on a thermal ir camera and it will really tell me where there is cold air up there and where it stops. I have experience with them also for my job. And yes I can leave the bathroom door open and open the back main vent on the AC Unit and direct air back to the bathroom, but I feel I should not need to do that. I may call forest river and ask also. I would not think they would come up with a good answer. I feel that it was to save money. On the slide I found a missing track seal that runs up and down on the camper side of the slide system inside the camper. I have a good dealer and I told them and they just cut me some and I told them I would put it on myself. It was a pain to reach in there and get it on the track and feel better that it is there. To me the flagstaff quality is lower that the Kodiak 200QB and Aerolite 30BHSL campers we have owned in the past, but we really liked this floor plan of the 25KS. We also lost some storage space because of the Murphy Bed but to me it was worth it. So far we are happy and I did not have to write a check for too much on the difference with the trade got a very good deal. The Kodiak 200QB was a 2011 and we bought the 2014 Flagstaff new off the lot.Re: AC Ducting and Vents Flagstaff 25KSYea on the Kodiak the bathroom was very small and still had a AC Vent in there. The Flagstaff 25KS has a very large bathroom and there is not one AC Vent in there. Our door going to the bathroom also has very large gaps on the top and bottom, but still not good enough. I will be installing the AC Vents myself and I will post pics.AC Ducting and Vents Flagstaff 25KSWe just traded in our Kodiak 200QB for the Flagstaff 25KS and over all we are pretty happy with the new camper. On the AC unit and Ducting it is real obvious that there is a duct in the foam roof insulation with two tracks that run from the front to the back. What I don't understand is in the nice large bathroom the 25KS has they did not install any AC registers??? I took the fantastic Fan inside cover molding out and you can feel cold AC Air (When AC is on) coming from the sides. So I know that there is ducting in there. So I bought two of these: www.amazon.com/gp/product/B005GOPT0G/ And I plan on cutting a hole in the ceiling and installing AC registers in the bathroom. When I went back to the dealer I noticed that all the Flagstaff Micro Lites were like this no AC registers in the bathrooms? Is there a reason that these Flagstaff were built like this and has anyone else noticed this?Re: Inspect Those Travel Trailer Springs !!! marcsbigfoot20b27 wrote: jmtandem wrote: Drove carefully to the AZ side of the border and climbed underneath. This is the best price I have seen on a good generator (I have had one for 7 yrs and its still working great). They also had some good prices on larger Champion generators, like a 9375W electric start model for $599. Steve Those are nice Gensets. I have one that I added a Propane Kit making it tri-fuel and I use it at our offgrid solar cabin on our property.Re: Bald Ridge Park Lake Lanier, GAI understand and again not breaking any rules. She was rude to our guests and she was rude to the couple guests staying in site 34 after I talked to him. So I do believe the lady has an issue with visitors. Most of the parks we stay in just charge a day use fee for your guests to stay and have no issues. This park they were free but had to get harassed to get in. I talked to the Park and they will address the issue and yes we will stay away from Georgia's Lake COE Parks in the future. There are too many parks to stay at to put up with that.Re: Bald Ridge Park Lake Lanier, GA Bird Freak wrote: OP never has said what happened or anything about the problem. I am starting to think their guest was out of line somehow. One person is said to be rude so you won't return to any of the parks? Man everyone wants to point the finger... Why even post issues in here. One reason I'm not on the forums that often. Well Talking to the neighbors in site 34. They also had an issues with the troll Ms Strickland and she was also rude to there guests that had to check in. We left today (5 Days Early) and I talked to Mr. Strickland and told him that your Wife needs to chill a little about having guest coming to visit and not act like it's a pain and just killing her to let them in. I told them you do not own the park and you are just getting a free stay to be Park Attendants. Bird Freak. I don't break laws or rules and never ever had an issue at a park until now and we camp alot and for many years. LOL I will be calling the Park Ranger Office to file an complaint and I already called Rec.gov and file one and they are issuing a refund. view2a.thrill wrote: Kendive: Rather than repeating that this one host was “rude” or “kinda rude”, could you give specific examples of the treatment you received? To let the actions of one person at one COE campground sour you on all COE campgrounds is shortsighted. We have found that COE campgrounds are well-maintained and with the Senior Pass discount are bargains. Well the rude park atten to our guest was not the reason for coming back to COE parks. It's the fact that they lock you in at 10:30pm until 7am. We wanted to go to the Georgia Aquarium night adventure and the Wife was so scared that we would not make it back by curfew that we did not go and she would not had fun anyway worrying about being locked out. We are too old to be on a curfew. The reason we come up to Atlanta in to visit friends and see the sites with Atlanta traffic there is a big possibly you may not make it back in time. So yes we will stay away from parks with curfews. Here in Florida they put electronic gates and you can come and go with a code. Maybe these COE Parks can do that??? I also feel sorry for the late comer that needs to setup late after the gate closes... Can't do that. With the Florida Parks you just call ahead and they give you the code to get in. Very Nice. I guess we are just spoiled with the way we have always been treated in other parks we have stayed at and not had to worry about guests being treated like they should not be here. We are pretty easy going and things like this really would not get me enough to post it and I normally never post on here, but she just really hit a nerve I guess. Sorry I even brought it up... I will keep my mouth shut next time and just call the Park. But I don't think there will never be a next time because 99.9% of the time expect this stay st this park we have a great time and don't ever even talk to the host except when we check in. Happy Camping.Re: Bald Ridge Park Lake Lanier, GA Rocky Top wrote: kendive- Give the Lake Lanier Corps office a call at 770-945-9531 to let them know about your visit. Never to come back again. We called Rec.gov already and t8ld them to refund the days and why we were leaving early.Re: Bald Ridge Park Lake Lanier, GA Bird Freak wrote: I have to wonder why you even have to deal with her after you checked in. Are you doing something against the rules or is she a power hungry troll? I think you hit the nail on the head with power hungry troll. Were just camping in a small travel trailer and no not breaking any rules. No reason for that. We're too old to cause trouble anyway... You can tell she is just mad at life and was rude when we checked in some visitors from the area. I use to live up here and moved back to Pensacola FL. We will stay away from Cor of Engineers parks from now on. Florida and state parks are muck better to us. I have a bad vib on cor parks now.
