Yippie!Re: What did you do to your Class A MH today???Rented a site at a small nearby campground for a year. Kinda strange move for us since we are not “campers” at all. We use our MH as a little home away from home when we have travelled somewhere to engage in an activity at that place - often upland bird hunting in remote areas of the west. Campgrounds have never appealed to us – don’t like crowds, busybodies, rules, etc. Besides, we live way back in the woods, where I can run the dogs, hunt, shoot, ride, etc, right out my front door without ever leaving my own land; or just enjoy the peace and quiet and watch the wildlife. BUT, we enjoy our newest (and hopefully last) Class A so much that the two months or so per year that we can travel in it until I retire in another year or two aren’t enough. We figured that by parking at a campground open all year only about 10 minutes from our house, we might get more use out of it for weekends and such. It will also stay set up and be quicker to ready for trips. I guess we’ll see if this is a good thing. The site was surprisingly inexpensive, so there wasn’t much to lose.Re: What did you do to your Class A MH today???Normally we’d be hunting in the west now, but the trip was cancelled due to my 88 year old FIL’s illness. He died by inches and all of that was horrible (especially since he was such a great guy), but we are now past that and the funeral; and I’ve gotten his estate started. We are planning on leaving on an extended western hunting trip this weekend – can sure use some time away thinking about other things. So, I can FINALLY make a post here. Hurray!! Today, I leveled the MH, filed the water tank and started the refrig in preparation for loading it for the trip. Snowfetehr – FWIW, other than keeping it clean or fixing things on a temporary and emergency basis, I do no work on my MH. I pay people to do that for me. I do this partly because I am no mechanic; and partly because I make FAR more money by working at my regular profession for an hour than I would save by doing an hour’s worth of mechanical work. While I admire those who do their own work, it does not pay me to do that in any sense of the word. Therefore, there is at least one person besides yourself (and I suspect there are many others) who doesn’t do all of that stuff.Re: What did you do to your Class A MH today???Thought about it perhaps 100 times. Sigh. It is sitting now and probably will sit until Sept rolls around and we head west again chasing birds until next March. Summer sucks. One of these days, I'll take it for a run just to keep eveything exeercised in what is for me the off-season.
