Thank you very much...Water saver for shower. Some time ago, maybe a few years, there was a series of posts about saving water when running hot water for a shower. Someone had made up a system whereby hot water would divert back into the fresh water tank until it got hot than you could open the faucet and get hot water right away. Part of the system had a piece of tubing that would change color when the hot water went thru it alerting you to the fact the shower was ready. Any chance someone remembers this and can suggest who made the kit? Any info would be helpful. Thanks.Lippert Saves the DayHere's a posting of a different sort. I have electric stabilizers on my 2015 TT. They suddenly, at the same time, started screaming when I extended them. Naturally I immediately thought about lubrication. When I checked the owners manual it stated that no lubrication was needed, that just washing the parts would be OK. Really? So that's what I did. Didn't make sense washing a drive screw and it didn't make any difference anyhow. I texted Lippert to get some advice on how to handle the situation and they replied asking me for the TT vin and to send pix of the stabilizers which I did. A few days later I got an email stating they were going to replace the stabilizers at no charge for parts or shipping. HUH? Sure enough. Last week two big boxes arrived. I could barely move them. These suckers are heavy. Replacing the old ones wasn't too bad, even for an old person. Total of eight screws per unit and it was done. Took about four hours total. New ones are whisper quiet. Also, the drive screws on the new ones are coated with a heavy duty grease. My thanks to Lippert. Sometimes good things do happen...Re: Outside Kitchen alternativeWe bought our latest TT about a year ago. It is a used Cruiser Viewfinder and it came with an outside kitchen which included a two burner cooktop and a sink. I already had a well built LP stove that I used for years and worked perfectly. The sink was really cheap and drained into the compartment floor. The sink drain hose was never hooked up and made a mess in there. I really did not want any of it. Ten minutes of work pulling the stuff out left me with a much more useable storage space. I put in a small 110v refrigerator and store my Big Buddy heater in it. Very happy with the results...Re: Winterizing toilet??RWBRADLEY "The other good side effect of Glycol is that it actually tastes quite good and does not leave that Antifreeze taste in you fresh water lines..." My last fiver had a super slide and it too looked liked it sagged when out. What I did was to use a three foot level on the dining table to see if it was indeed sagging and the table was level. I than used the level on the outside of the slide and it showed it was plumb but it sure looked off somehow but I let it go. After spending a winter in Arizona and checking it a few times the level showed all was good. No actual sag. What I did notice though was when I pulled the slide in was that it contacted the side of the trailer at the top first then the bottom pulled in. I'm thinking that the slide is not really square to affect the closing at the top first thereby giving the illusion of sagging. I would use a level to see the status of your slide and if it's really sagging then back to the dealer to have them check it. At the CG we were at though I did see some RV'ers had slide supports under them. When I asked them about it they had no real reason they had them other than they were concerned about the possibility of the slide mechanisms bending. I never had a problem though...Re: Oven and burner problemsThis problem is typically caused by improper oven venting. Did you do something to the vent that directs the oven vapors at the cooktop as opposed to the vent fan? It sounds as if the surface burners are being affected by improper secondary air which it receives above the burner...Re: Is it normal to fill up the grey water tank this fast?Sure you are. The only other explanation is you didn't completely empty it the last time you did it. You'd be surprised at how much water is used washing dishes...Re: Cleaning waste tanksnavegator on 09/18/16 08:43am Fecal mater is composed of grease, DAWN dish washing soap brakes down oils and grease, do not mix detergent and bleach, that produces fossgene gas, that is toxic and poison, good 3 to 5 gallons of water plus Dawn or even laundry detergent will work. Not true. Laundry detergent and bleach are used daily in washing machines. No gasses are produced...Re: White powder ??mike-s/ Love your reply. That's something like I would reply...
