Based on the dry weight of the TT you need a 3/4 truck for safety if for no other.Re: Love bug, cleaner?Tom worked where he took care of many vehicles here in Florida. His method was to soak them down with water, wait a few minutes then use the normal car wash product. Said it was the best and easiest method.Re: Need Advice between which camper to buyMy concern is if you can use the one or the other with the slides in. Can you get to Fridge, bathroom and bedroom? Never know when you will need to use those.Re: Trailers where slides do NOT block access?Love the floor plan of that Grand Design. Would or could be my choice!Re: Looking for a TT,I have looked at or had a lot of TT and used a GMC Sierra. Comparable to the Ford 150. Found that a TT under 6000 dry weight tows fine. Do not know where you got the load number of 1670.(does not sound like a proper number). Best wishes their are a lot of TT that meet your basic ideas. Dry bath is/was a biggie for me.Re: Malwarebytes??Defender is good but Malwarebytes free finds more.Re: Pulling 30' TTSounds like a good choice. Only difference is the cornering thing and the size of the campsite.Re: Looking for a truck...1/2 ton truck in my opinion and experience should not tow a TT any heavier then 6kRe: Which bunkhouse model for our two sets of twins?Do your self a favor. Make sure of your vehicles tow capacity. Alot enters into it. Everything from passengers weight to the dishes in the cabinets. All is added towards what it can tow. Best wishes on your TT search.Re: Newbie looking for advice SoundGuy wrote: Svon wrote: My tow vehicle is a 1500 Silverado with the towing package, and rated to to upto 10,000. When towing with pretty well any 1/2 ton forget about the vehicle's so-called "tow rating" as it all comes down to payload, or more correctly lack thereof. Subtract the weight of everyone in the truck, any cargo you may carry in it, plus the weight of any WD system, and what you have left is what you'll use to accommodate the weight of any tongue weight transferred from the trailer to the truck when it's hitched up. With most 1/2 tons that means not a whole lot left, usually limiting gross trailer tongue weight to somewhere in the 600 to 800 lb range. You haven't mentioned your Silverado's MY, transmission, or axle ratio but even if it's a newer 6 sp driving anything less than a 3.73 that's yet another reason to be cautious about what you select in a trailer. Currently I tow a shorter 21' couple's trailer averaging ~ 4700 lbs loaded and ready to camp with our '12 Silvy running a 3.42 and wouldn't want to tow much more than ~ 6000 lbs with this truck. X2 No matter what sales people say-- Keep weight of TT UNDER 6000.
