Best route from Northern IL to Youngstown, NY
We are heading to 4 Mile Creek State Park in Youngstown NY from Northern IL to check out Niagara Falls. Pulling a 30 foot TT. Looks like we can travel 90 through Toledo, Cleveland to Buffalo; or take 94 to Kalamazoo, Lansing, Hamilton, Canada, Youngstown. We have our passports as we plan to see both sides of the falls. GMC is gas.............does OK as we are only around 5000 lbs dry. (prob 10,000 loaded LOL) Thanks for route information. Seems like one day drive from Four Mile State Park in Youngstown to Wilmington should be OK. Thank you for all the replies. Looks like North Pole Resorts will work great for us. I'm wondering if anyone can give input on the travel from Niagara Falls area to Wilmington (North Pole Resort). Google maps says it should take a little over 6 hours and to travel I90, 365, 8, 87, 73. We have a 2500 GMC and pull a 30' travel trailer. Does this rout / time frame seem reasonable? We are planning a trip from Illinois to Niagara Falls in September (4 mile Creek State Park) and thinking about exploring the Adirondack Mountains for a week or so after that. Want 30 amp elect at a minimum and water would be nice. We looked at Lake George but pretty pricy for us and would not use any amities other than showers. We enjoy hiking lake / stream / river areas.
