Where are your tail light/brake lights? Where's your license plate? Step out of the vehicle for a field sobriety test.Re: Camp Host sites - typical size rigs that fitIt would probably be best to contact each park you would be interested in being a host.Re: Glen Rose, Texas? We belong to the Ocean Canyon Properties club and the Tres Rio C.G. Is our home base. Just a short drive to G.R. and lots of things to see and do.Re: I guess it coild be worse,Yeah - sounds like you're not having any good luck and hope that changes. Regarding your meds that are home - can't you call your insurance carrier and get authorization for an emergency refill at a local pharmacy if there's one available? Not too smart on your part to leave them however.Re: Forgot the AnodeConsidering how relativity inexpensive they are and considering the job they do,I just replace my anode rod at the end of each seasons use when I do my water heater preventative maintenance.Re: Where is "level" determined on a fifth wheel? donn0128 wrote: On a refer shelf. That is the most important thing X2 for width - I place my 3 foot level on the right side door sill for lenght wise.Re: RV Food chain loulou57 wrote: I don't understand what you mean by this "food chain" "Food chain" as used here is slang for ranking or status in a particular group.Re: Your favorite tasty brands of pickle products? MillicentLake wrote: I love dill pickles and have noticed, sadly, that in most stores the variety and selection have narrowed. For example, Heinz Genuine Dills, which I consider the premier pickle, have largely disappeared from shelves. (Anyone have any leads?) It also seems that polish dills are waning while kosher dills are still on shelves. Could anyone share their favorite pickle products, be they national brands, regional or store brands, or even homemade recipes? Other relishes/pickled items you can recommend for those of us who like our sour (or sweet) sides and condiments? Also what shapes do you like -- the regular hamburger dills, the sandwiches slices, the cornichons, the big dills? Do you like the more "well-done" pickles like Vlasic or the more "rare" less-cooked dills, or the refrigerated type such as Clausen? Looking forward to hearing all opinions/recommendations! Try the latest offerings from Viasic called Farmers Garden. They offer Garlic Dills,Bread and Butter Chips and some other varieties . They are packed in glass jars. A little pricey, but worth it IMO.Re: Why check temp on tires? Really necessary? Fastfwd75 wrote: So I have read a few times now on this forum that people will check the temp of the tires with a laser infrared. I'm guessing this is to prevent blowouts due to rubbing brakes? Is this really necessary or just something people will do if they already own an infrared thermometer? Only for big motorhomes or for trailers too? I am guessing most people don't do this but if the risk is real and frequent on travel trailers a 20-50$ thermometer is not a costly precaution. Buy a good reliable Tire Pressure Monitoring System and you won't need a laser. Plus not only will you know the temperatures of the tires, but have notice of an impending tire failure due to air loss.Re: Advice for fixing a Thetford toilet valve, it's EASY! Road Runners wrote: You got it. Most repair jobs on an RV can be do it yours self projects if you have the inclination. I have always done all my repair work, but now that I am getting up in age getting my body in position to do some of the repairs that I used to easily do is now dang near impossible. So now I often opt to pay someone to do some of these repairs. X2 - I know exactly what you're feeling . Not RV related, but I was asked (told) recently by my wife to mount a water hose reel assembly onto a brick wall on our home. No problem I said to myself as I had done this same job a couple of years ago. Only this time, she wanted the assembly mounted much lower on the wall than the one earlier. This required getting on my knees and up again a couple of times. I was hurting for the next couple of days afterwards.
