Not too many of the Walmarts are RV friendly, there's no Flying J or pilots etc etc. we're stuck with the campgrounds and state parks (that have a 14 day total use limit for the season).Re: Electric power jack-any suggestions? krobbe wrote: Husky HB4500R with remote. Drop the tongue on the ball and pull forward a hair without getting out of the truck by just watching the backup camera. You know you need it! ;) I have this and it is awesome. I level from inside the trailer, now I just stand there and push the button until the bubble centers! Best investment I've made for the trailer so far.Re: Outdoor ShowerCheck with the raceway, I know they frown on outdoor showers at a lot of the tracks. They use the term 'self contained' a lot.Re: Moving from SC to MA in winter with small TT theheather1 wrote: Nooooooo I wouldn't torture us by actually LIVING in it up there. The kids and I are moving to MA for me to go to school once I retire from the military. That's why I can't pick a more sane time of year to make the trip. Well, that's good. I would consider leaving the trailer behind and plan in driving 9-10 hours per day and you could get by with only one night on the road. It might pay for itself just in gas mileage saved. If you do bring it up here, you'll need a place to store it and then go through the winterizing process. Also, keep in mind that Massachusetts is no longer the cradle of freedom it once was and there are many laws here you should probably look in to before bringing any 'contraband' with you. (Knives, guns, phones, fishing poles, tobacco, alcohol, etc, etc)Re: Moving from SC to MA in winter with small TTI live in MA, and let me first say or ask WHY do you want to move up here? (Half heartedly kidding) everyone up here is trying to move down there! The travel trailer season is very short up here. If I am reading this right, you are just going to be in the trailer while you are traveling up here, correct? You can drive from Maryland to MA in about 8 hours so you shouldn't have to spend anytime in the cold if you plan it right. We can get snow anytime after middle of October but more likely it doesn't come until late December and stays until Late March. I picked up my new trailer in May of last year and the first few weeks I was running the heater at night. I wouldn't advise living in that trailer through the winter, although it could be possible with some money invested and the right spot. Most of the campgrounds close up for the season around Middle of October.Re: HEY we need a sticky for our TT pics!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! tragusa3 wrote: Jwall62, looks nice! We used to have a very similar TT. Looks like a nice site too. However, that would be a wreck of a site if it rained! I was there for 2 weeks and it did rain about 4 days, dried out pretty well and the lake is actually below me by about 15 feet, so no flood dangers, it's also dam controlled! It's a KOA in NH, came with the gas BBQ and full hookups including wifi and cable. I didn't want to rough it too much for the first time out.Re: HEY we need a sticky for our TT pics!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!deleteRe: HEY we need a sticky for our TT pics!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!First set up for first timer
