If the other side has more stem showing, I would tighten the nut on the one in the picture. On my extenders the nut is a retainer that has been known to loosen over time. If this went on for a while, mine would look like yours as the extender would pull into the grommet, or as the grommet pushes out of the wheel hole. AnthonyRe: Traveling with an infantThat toterhome is probably built on an M2 chassis. If it were my little one, that car seat would be strapped into the front passenger seat as it is the only seat (except for the driver's) built with a crash in mind. I believe those trucks did not have srs airbags, but if his has one, there should be a switch that he can use to turn it off.Re: RV Park recommendations in the Hemet Ca. area.??Golden Village Palms (http://www.goldenvillagepalms.com/) always seems nice, quiet and roomy. The staff and facility have always been pleasant. They host a small monthly car show if that sort of thing is up your alley. I've never stayed there but friends from out of town have and enjoyed it. AnthonyRe: Shopping for first Motorhome near HoustonPeter Sam at PPL did right by us on the purchase side. I really can't say enough about how honest and helpful he was. He knew that I was running a little low on calories and even went out to get me some bbq while I waited for some small parts to be installed. I had flown in alone to take delivery so was stranded at the dealership. Ed Baugh with rvsurvey.com did an outstanding job of inspecting the unit ahead of time. He was not cheap, but I would go down this exact path again in a heartbeat. AnthonyRe: Houston to Palm Springs & I 10 road grades? There are a few fair grades in Texas Hill Country. They aren't bad but they go on for a while. The only other significant grades are near Chiriaco Summit in CA. As stated, there are stretches of this route that are REMOTE. If your questioning a change in the rigs behavior, you'd be well advised to stop when services are available. If you are not making any looky loo stops this is an easy three leg trip, or a tough two leg one. AnthonyRe: V10 not perfoming like it shouldFYI, the threshold for the MIL to come on because of a misfire is insanely high on Ford mod motors. The technician needs to know how to navigate the Mode 6 data to find the misfire rates for each cylinder. The last time I changed a COP on our van, all cylinders' misfire count was 0 except for cyl #7 which had a count of over 8000.....still no MIL....just a jittering pile of torqueless **** when loaded. AnthonyRe: Kodiak based Super C questions. We looked at a bunch of these last spring and I found the following. Most of the Kodiak based Jayco Senecas are built on a 22,000 lb chassis. Most of the Gulf Stream built Kodiaks are on the 19,500 lb chassis. One exception to this is the 2006 Gulf Stream Endura 6378. They were built on the 22,000 lb platform. I found most of the Senecas to be really undersprung in the rear for my taste. There was a leaf spring upgrade available and some owners added airbags to deal with the issue. Our 2006 GS 6378 rolled over the scales fully loaded for a 35 day trip for four people at around 19.8K and has a GCVWR of 26K. The hitch is rated at 10k, but we would have exceeded the GCVWR by a bunch. I would say that in order to put 10K on the ball for any real amount of time/miles, you need to look at something with a larger margin of scaled weight to GCVWR. Some of the International based super-C's might be a better option, but I am not a fan of their VT-365. Antny
