I had this problem occur in my fresh water tank. Kept plugging up my metal screen pre-filter in front of the pump. I ended up having to fill the tank half way and running a drill operated pump for an hour to cycle the water through two large canister filters to capture the goo and return the water back to the tank to cycled through again.1.7KViews0likes0CommentsRe: Allison trans. shift issue
Next morning there were no signs of any problems. Shifted just fine. Last night I tried running the diagnostic by pushing both the up & down arrows. Each D 1,2,2,3,4,5 came up without a code. Hello this is my first time here and post. My 97 Newmar with 300 Cummins and Allison 6sp. just developed an issue tonight once I pulled into a campsite. It made a slight pop sound as I pulled in. I stopped and shifted into neutral. Then attempted to shift into reverse and got a flashing code on the shift indicator pad once I released the key pad reverse button. I tried to shift back to neutral and then into foreword without any luck. The key pad stated 6th gear so I tried to manually shift it down to first which the indicator said I was in but it did not shift into gear. I tried turning off the engine and restarting with out any luck. Anybody got an idea what may be the problem? Never had an issue with it before.
