When I lived in the Detroit area, I never used a cover in winter - frankly, the sun hardly is out in winter in Detroit!:) Now that I am in Utah, I cover every winter (and wished I had more energy to cover in summer when not on the road) The sun really does a job on fiberglass, rubber and plastic when it's out 300+ days a year

We got our Creekside 23RKS in Sept 2015 and have about 5000 miles on it with no problems so far. Since it is only me and my wife, we removed the sofa bed (literally 4 bolts to disassemble) and swapped in 2 recliners - much more comfortable! Have fun!

Not sure if available in Canada, but Lance has a good reputation. The Lance 1575 would be in your weight range. But speaking from my experience in a similar sized Shadow Cruiser, it can get pretty tight with a couple of dogs. Plus, someone has to crawl over the other person to get out of one side of the bed
