Bought 3 used. . . no regrets! Because of this forum (and some very good friends), all 3 of my campers are/were awesome! I've learned to "tinker" with both the interior and exterior. And as my DD pointed out to me "Momma, you would never be happy with a new trailer; you cannot tinker with it!" So, there you have it! Oh, I know I have pics of this seal, because I replaced it on my 2004! (must have lost them on a crashed hard drive.) Anyways, here's a picture of the outside of my 21SSO with the slide out. It has the sweep at the top. And I also had the 2 bars, but instead of placing them at the top, I was told to place them on the sides; either way, I guess works. I previously owned a 2004 StarCraft 21SSO HTT. And yes, the battery does have to be hooked up and charged. However, you should have a hand crank tool that will allow you to open the slide without power. The tool is inserted right below the dinette on the inside of the HTT. Sorry, I know this is an old thread, but I believe I am missing a shelf (compared the the same refrigerator from my previous camper). I've seen places selling the Dometic Refrig wire shelf for $60!
