All ActivityMost RecentMost LikesSolutionsRe: towing mileage of trucksI have a 2017 F350, 6.7. My trailer is a 34’ keystone Laredo. 13k+ towing. My mileage varies mountains about 10, flat about 12. The wind also plays a big factor.Re: Sacto area to PismoI've gone the 5 to 41 many times, it's a very good road, there was some construction near Paso Robles. I think this route has less traffic, and not nearly as many trucks.Re: White Mountains, CA dispersed campingI noticed you mentioned "hiking Mt. Whitney". Be aware of two things, first, you must have a permit issued by the NPS, and they do check there. Second, at this time the Mt. Whitney portal is closed due to the severe rock slide damage from this winter.Re: Lookin for FW w/ kitchen on drive side& windows on camp sideI have a keystone Laredo with that layout. It also has a outdoor kitchen which my lady just loves. Took it on its maiden voyage last week and had zero issues. I'm very pleased so far with this unit.Re: class A camping off 140 to yosemiteThere is a KOA right off 140 at Midpines. It's 7 miles past mariposa. The best part is that it is a stop for YARTS that will take you right to Yosemite. Spaces in this park are tight but it's clean and has a cool little store.Re: Mobs in YosemiteI live within an hour and a half from the park and spend a lot of time there throughout the year. I clime and hike, and have found that the crowds thin out above 7000'. Most people treat Yosemite as though it's an amusement park, they have no understanding or respect for the Eco systems or what they are actually looking at. The part that bothers me the most is the trash they leave behind. I carry a trash bag with me on every visit and start collecting trash on the way down, most of the time I run out of space in the bag. If you do plan to visit please enjoy what I Yosemite is, one of the most spiritual and beautiful spots on the face of the earth. AND please, please if you bring it in carry it out and pick up that gum wrapper or yogurt cup! THANKS!!!Re: Questions on road testing of 2017 Ford 250 and 350I purchased a 2017 F350 SWR in February, it is my daily driver as well as the TV for my 5th wheel. As far as MPG is concerned I average about 16.5 mpg as stated on the DIC. This seems pretty concistant over the past couple of months. As far as the ride is concerned I find that it rides like a truck! My previous truck was a Chevy 3500 DRW and when empty it could jar your teeth loose. I was a Chevy diesel mechanic and have owned GM vehicles for well over 30 years, but this time after researching and lots of test driving I chose the F350 and have not had any regrets. This comming weekend I'll be hauling my 5th wheel to the sierras so I will have a better idea of towing performance and MPG.Ground controlJust picked up my Loredo 325RL today, brought it home unhooked, then tried autolevel and nothing. Followed the manual several more times same results. Called the tech guy at the dealership who told me to zero the unit. Followed the instructions and when I got to the part where it says "push left and right simultaneously" I get the message feature not available. It will not let me go on. I will say that it all worked great at the dealer, so I'm thinking operator error somewhere along the line. Can anyone help shed some light on this please.Re: A Bad SaturdayI feel for you. I have a chocolate lab that's having difficulty with his back legs. I rescued him when he was 11 month old, he's only 7 now and at times I have to help him up and walk steadily. I can't imagine my life without him, he's always at my side. So sorry!Re: B&W slider helpHey Keith, thanks for the help that did the trick. I should have guessed it would be difficult due to the new bushings. Big help, thanks again.
