Now you've gone and done it...:R... This is one of my favorite parks but with all the northerners here in the cooler months, I can't even get lucky and find a spot until closer to summer. :M Now I'll have even more people to fight for a spot!!!! It is amazing that you can ride around in the park and feel like your in a rural area, but leave the park and you're 5 minutes (with traffic) from Publix. We were scheduled to stay at Skidaway Island State Park at the end of the month. They canceled our reservation and refunded our money. They also left a voicemail that they were going to be closed through at least the first of November, as they had no power and for cleanup. :( My wife was going to have me call to check, but they beat me to it. Just rerouted our plans and will stay off the coastline. I'll get to Savannah yet! Just hope everyone in that area is safe and can get their lives back to some state of normal. Have the Treager PTG (portable Treager Grill) and love it. It is 110V AC, not 12V DC. Use it at home, camping and travel to friends and family with it. It won't do a full turkey, but a nice smoked turkey breast came off it. :B It isn't the lightest thing, but I move it around just fine. The pellets are pretty easy to find and a bag last quite a while. If you have used or seen one in the past, they are a good choice. Wow, maybe I better fire it up and smoke some pork... Wow, I could be writing this same post in a week or two. Our show starts Thursday this week and the Apex 279RLSS is definitely one of the ones we are looking at. I'm trying to get some feel as to what the prices are on the 'normal' market, then see what kind of discount can be had at the show. Our other choice is a Kodiak 269RLS. Check out Windward Knoll Mobile Home Park in Thonotosassa (just east of Tampa). They have RV sites in the back. My MIL lives there and when we visited for Christmas there were sites open in the back. Get the codes cleared. With all the ethanol in the gas here in Florida, my Chevy sends false codes about every 3-4 months, especially when run hard then sitting on a cold night. I have found (and my mechanic agrees) that if you clear the codes and they come back immediately (or very soon) then YES you have a problem. With all the sensors and computer controls on today's engines and the addition of ethanol to our gasoline it's a wonder my check engine light isn't on more.259Views0likes0CommentsRe: Florida Sun Pass
For those of you who have the "mini" and trade vehicles.... you can get a new sunpass and have the balance swapped to the new one. DW just traded her car and we moved the balance from her old sunpass to her new one. We even forgot to get the ID # off the old one :S and the folks at sunpass customer service were able to get her old one shut off and the new one activated. :B Sunpass makes traveling Florida much easier!!430Views0likes0Comments
