The last couple years, I have missed moving around, so I have been taking the family tenting again in between visits to our trailer. In hopes of cutting down set up and break down times, I decided to purchase a small a-frame trailer to bounce around this year. I have one fully furnished trailer that we have been adding stuff to for many years, but now I have to start again. My Big question is: If you had to start compiling stuff all over again what are your favourites? Keep in mind that I need to be as light as possible and don't have much storage in the A-frame. 1. Bedding? Would you get a cheap comforter? Or a nicer puffy blanket, like a Rumpl? 2. Best Chairs? 3. Dishes? Corelle or cheap plastic? 4. RV mat? 5. Best cooler? The fridge is really small in this thing. 6 Anything Else?Re: Campsite Configuration/Setup???? bigdogger wrote: DaDubs wrote: Sorry...That campfire looking thing is the BBQ. Man, it doesn't seem to matter what you post on this site, some people always seem to be self-righteous nitpickers. sorry Someone posts a schematic of how they set up their campsite and then calls the rest of us "nitpickers"????? All I was asking is how you set up your camp, not mock my mock up. I guess trolls will be trolls.Re: Campsite Configuration/Setup????Sorry...That campfire looking thing is the BBQ. My tt and tv are in my signature.Re: First Tow with EcoBoostSorry diesel guys...I didn't post this to start a flame war. I was merely stating that I was very impressed with the EB, especially being a former diesel owner.Re: First Tow with EcoBoostI have the gvwr package. It adds 700lbs of payload above a stock F150. I was actually shocked at how little the truck squatted after hitching up.Re: First Tow with EcoBoostThe old truck was 2010 F350 with the 6.4L. Well, maybe it had more power and acceleration, but the ecoboost still had no problems getting up to speed in a hurry. I actually had to make sure that I hit the cruise control because I caught myself doing 120km/h a couple times with even noticing. The F350 a great truck...I just got sick of dealing with diesel particulate filter. Other than the summer months, I only made short daily trips with it, so the DPF was more work than it was worth to me. I was a little apprehensive at first about making the switch (thinking it would be a serious downgrade in performance), but I am really glad I did.Re: First Tow with EcoBoost goducks10 wrote: You might try adding some sort of sway control to your WD. Or invest in a better WD with built in SC. I never had an issue, just stating that it wasn't as stable as the F350. It still pulled great with no issues. To be completely honest, I think the little bit of movement had more to do with the crappy Saskatchewan Tertiary roads than anything else. There were big potholes, ruts, and broken pavement the whole way.First Tow with EcoBoostWe had our first camping trip of the season and my first tow with the Ecoboost. I was pretty impressed with the power. My previous truck was an F350 Diesel and the Boost definitely could hold its own with the big truck. Acceleration/power and fuel economy were about the same, but I did notice a difference in ride stability. There was a little more sway/movement with the F150, but I never felt out of control. Overall, I'm pretty happy with the switch...especially since the truck is my daily driver too.
