Power was more than enough and when I made all the right adjustments to my Reese DC hitch it was rock solid and I could not feel any passing trucks. Dealer did a half-arse job on hitch install (go figure). We upgraded to our Ram 3500 diesel when we still had the TT but before getting a FW. Having towed with both I wouldn’t hesitate to use a Tundra for a TT if it’s sized right.Re: Do you keep water in your tanks when traveling??We always travel at least half full. Was at a campground once where the well pump died and glad we had our own water source for the day it was down. Although unlikely to ever happen again, I like to be prepared if we don’t have a viable water source.Re: double tank drainsMy FW has two drains about 10' apart as well (both drain black with 2 baths so garden hose is not an option) and I use the Dominator sewer hose kit as it has various lengths of hose available and also a Y. Quality seems to be much higher than the cheap stuff from Walmart, etc. Not sure if there is any one method that is better than the other as I can see both ways working fine. I wanted a higher quality hose and it happened to have a Y so I went for it.Re: 2018/2019 Eclipse Attitude 28SAG - Your Thoughts?OP feel free to PM me and I can share my experiences. My brand new Attitude was a total disaster and I sold it after just one season. The decision to trade (at a loss of course) was not taken lightly.Re: Can I hack into my heat ducts in new TT? Extra AC / heat. kmbelt wrote: hawkeye-08 wrote: Some other improvements might help, sunblock window shades, reflective vent "pillows", etc that may help the unit you have work better. The vent Pillows are the best thing you can do. I have one for my crank up vent and another that is snapped into my shower dome. Makes a WORLD of difference. CLOSE ALL BLINDS also helps. My trailer can stay cool in 100 degree weather by doing these things. Vent pillows do a great job and finding a way to also insulate the heat coming from the shower skylight can make a big improvement. I accidentally found that the reflective insulation piece they sell for the entry door window was the same size as the skylight on my previous TT. I just pulled out some of the screws from the frame and put the cover up and used some washers when I put the screws back in to hold it tight. Made a big difference. Velco did not hold up I found.Re: Do you turn off your refrigerator? Seems I pulled it apart once to look. It's been a while, maybe I'm mistaken. Wouldn't be the first time - LOL! I put my Kill-O-Watt on my 8 cu ft refig a few years ago and got around ~325 watts. Meter was plugged in at the frig rather than the shore power to avoid misleading data from charger, detector, etc.Re: EU2000 carburetor cleaningBoth of mine ran rough as I forgot to add stabilizer for the winter. I had to buy an o-ring kit I believe the carb cleaner I used damaged one of the bowl gaskets and the drain o-ring on the other carb. In other words, might want to be careful getting carb cleaner on rubber items......Re: Buying Local or Long distanceBetween the cost of the new FW and my trade-in I saved $12k going out of state. Local dealer seems to be proud of their ability to demand higher prices (and my neighbor went to UT instead of dealing with them and saved $4k). I'm not worried because by the time I hook it up and run it to the dealer (and wait weeks for the repair to be done) I can just fix minor items. Best part is the lot where I store it has a RV repair shop so if I do have major issues they will grab it, make the warranty fix and return it to the spot.Re: Ram 2500 bed size????I have a SB Ram with a Companion slider and have never had a need to slide it. My bother has been pulling his FW with a SB Chevy for 8 years with no slider and no issues. Seems like whenever the question comes up it, the consensus is that you will probably never, ever use it but if you need it you'll be glad you have it. How's that for a non-committal answer?Re: Keurig coffee makers for the RV DrewE wrote: Are you planning on using this with an inverter? If so, take a close look at the wattage of the Keurig machines. Many are up around 1500-1800 watts, which requires a pretty hefty inverter and battery bank. (Obviously they don't use that amount of power for extended periods of time, so the total energy consumption is not too extreme, but it's a big surge to deal with.) If you're going to be running a generator or connected to shore power, that is of course a lot less of a concern. My single cup pulls 875w per the display on my Xantrex inverter. I plug it in right at the inverter and it's wired to the batteries (2' run) with 1/0 wire. No issues making multiple cups if you have a solid battery bank. I have 2 T-105's and 300w of solar. Trimetric meter says it's pulling 73 amps....
