Just have to remember to recharge it every so often. Has a meter. I did this after having the car battery dead a few times. You can also run a fused at both ends cable from the rig battery to the car's. I had only a four wire cable so I did it an easy way. Works great. Went from Reno to the tip of Nova Scotia and back with zero problems.Re: washing RVWe use the dry wash and wax system from Aero Cosmetics. It works well for most purposes. After a 10K trip last year I took our Lazy Daze thru a local truck wash then touched it up at home. I have a "low" pressure wash system at home which I will use a few times a year. With the wash/wax polymer product on the rig's aircraft paint system it looks great and touches up easily.Re: Sewer Tank FlusherI had the flusher check valve installed backward!! National RV couldn't solve the problem but I finally figured it out.Re: Blue ox light cableIf you are talking about the round 4 pin connector, it is very problematic with poor or no strain relief. I have lost count of the number of times I have had to make up the end that goes to the toad. The last time I rebuilt it I used silicone self sticking tape to make a long transition from the connector body to maybe 6 inches down the cable that provides some strain relief. No problems for the last 10K miles. Never pull on the cable to disconnect.Re: 2014 Honda CRV - What will the front-end look like?I have the 2011 CRV w the Blue Ox baseplate. When the removable pins are installed they look like the machine guns on one of James Bond's old cars. Little to show when removed and very clean.Re: Oops!Quite a few years ago I was able to replace the pop rivets that held the arm support on my Tropical after I messed it up. Don't know if this applies to your situation. It was a Carefree awning. One trip to Lowes/Home Depot to buy the pop rivet tool and the wrong size rivets and two more trips to get the right diameter/length rivets but it worked.Re: installing "J" valve stems on outer dually E-450Don't have your exact answer but I cut out/enlarged one or two round holes on each wheel cover on my 2004 E450 Lazy Daze. Worked fine with the Borg long valve stems. When Schwab Tires replaced my tires they got the valve stems back in properly with no issues.Re: Subaru Forester as dinghyTowed my 2001 Forester for about 40K miles…traded it in for a 2013 CRV at about 115K on the odometer because I wanted an AT equipped toad that was also AWD. Subbies have the best FWD full-time drive for use in snowy conditions. The AT equipped CRV is a front wheel drive vehicle that provides some rear wheel drive if it detects wheel slip. Not quite the same as the Subby. FWIWRe: 12 volt tv's for bedroom. My Jensen has a conformal coated pcb and is especially made for RV's and boats. Works great and no up and down conversion losses. Works fine on my 11.5 to 14.1 VDC connection. Also have a DVD player that works on 12 VDC.Re: Another Tire Inflation QuestionMy understanding is that for a given tire size the inflation chart is an agreed standard. I believe that is true for nearly all tires used on cars and rvs. Specialty tires would be an exception.
