I believe just over 3 gallons of gas capacity. 2 summers ago, pulled into Prim Nevada. Stayed over night in the parking lot after a long days drive through Death Valley, just to say I did it in summer, and filled it up at 8:00 PM. Got up at 4:00 am like normal and ran A/ C all night set at 78* outside temps over night were around 100* + for the most part and then wen to the station across the way when we left to fill up again. I put 2 1/2 gallons in it. So the test was great!!! we also did a trip a month ago to California, stayed overnight at our spot in the Quartzsite desert at 110* daytime and probably high 90*s over night. Generator ran all night without an issue. So Yep We love our Honda and nope we don't run it when we don't need it and only use it for a bit of charging if needed and coffee. Our neighbors are always told, if we run the generator and it bother you , let us know, we won't do it. Most of them say they don't even hear it. That is when we are in a campground and we do follow all the campground rules when there. I guess my point being is, yes you can hear them but get one for your convenience. And when the power goes out at home from a storm, turn it on and go in the rv for a/c comfort and or run an extension cord in to the fridge! Good Luck & Be Safe ! ! !Re: Filling tank with five gallon tote?I have an extra 30 gallon RV tank from a previous RV that I use in the back of the truck when we are dry camping. it stays in the truck, filled before we leave home and with my extra sure flow pump I have an adapter to fit a garden hose fitting. I simply hook up the fill hose for my rv and turn on the pump! at a few gallons per minute I am up and running. I only haul this when dry camping and know that the RV and the extra water will get us through at least 7 days. Also if the pump goes bad in my RV I always have a back up. Good Luck & Be Safe ! ! !Re: 2012 299RKS CougarBlessings in disguise. We went, a/c didn't work, blinds were damaged, a few little cosmetic issues and a few concerns that weren't able to be answered. and the price is comparable to a new one of similar style and actually that we like a bit better. So, long story short, pass on that purchase and on to the other one. If we wait a moth or two or three, so we will get what and we want and not what we don't want including colors and options as well. So Have a great day to all, Good Luck & Be Safe ! ! !Re: Trailer Brake Stopping DistanceYou can hold the break on for a short bit while driving super slow, heat them up a bit and as they get warm you should feel them grabbing. In the meantime contact the manufacture and make sure they are aware and get them fixed! The other thing is to make sure all your weight ratings are within what is required for safe proper towing. Good Luck and Be Safe ! ! !Re: Fifth wheel Towing HelpOK - So the actual numbers and info is /are: 2010 GMC Sierra HD 25004 X 4, 3:73 gears, extended cab, 6 1/2 ft bed. owners manual says; Max trailer weight 9900 lbs 16000 GCWR actual scale reads with full fuel and passengers 6840 front axle 3760 rear axle 3080 door sticker gvwr 9200 fr ax 4200 rr ax 6084 Trailer now that we are looking at is considered half ton towable with max gvwr at weighs in at 10320 uvwr 7550 hitch at 1520. calculating all we carry at 2000 lbs, (recalculated all) I think we will be ok? ! ? ! ? They are pulling it up and turning on a/c and such so we can spend some time in it to check things out. I will look at those things mentioned plus my multitude of stuff! Thanks again, any other comments are appreciated.2012 299RKS CougarGood Morning from Sunny Arizona ! ! ! Yeh right. Hey does anyone have the 299RKS Cougar fifth wheel? I may get this one and would like to hear some pros and cons! ! ! Thanks in advance! Good Luck & Be Safe ! ! !Re: Fifth wheel Towing HelpJust an update to all, I am in the process of looking at other fifth wheels that are available. 2012 Keystone Cougar 299RKS has a similar floor plan and has a 10,000GVWR. It may be doable, so who knows. I guess a bummer for me as I was set on an Arctic Fox, but it should all work out in the end. So Thanks again for all the input. Jeff, Good Luck & Be Safe ! ! !Re: Blowing tires on 5th wheelJust a quick note after reading a bit more. I never heard of any tires being for summer use only! if this is the case we all need to be very careful of our purchase and make sure we get "ALL SEASON" tires for our tow vehicle and trailers as we never know what kind of weather we will encounter during any time during the year as we are in all different types of climates when we travel . Last summer on our 60 mile trip, we encountered everything from cold temp in the 40's to 118* in other areas. the summer before, we ended up with hot and cold weather as well. Again just my 3 cents worth, Good Luck & Be Safe ! ! !Re: Blowing tires on 5th wheelWhile I agree with that, I don't drive over the rated speed and for safety sake, I stay at 65mph or less and at 60 to 62 I get the best performance out of my tow vehicle and I am not one that is rolled over the side of a mountain, sitting on the side of the road with a blowout or getting a ticket. Those that drive like they are going to a fire are only waiting for trouble in one way or another at some point. That's my opinion! Good Luck & Be Safe ! ! !
